Chapter 6: When I return

You and Ed are now 7, Winry is 6, Al is 5

*Two month time skip*

Ed's P.O.V

I'm such a chicken, why can't I tell her. I saw her marks and cuts and I want to know what happened. I just wanted to hold her more than ever and tell her that everything would be alright. I just want her to be mine. Al keeps telling me that she told him that she loves me too, but I'm pretty sure he's just saying that to motivate me to tell her my feelings.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I hate myself (a/n : you and me both, you and me both) I just can't bring myself to tell him how I feel. I always get nervous when he's around, plus I can't tell him about my dad abusing me, which he continuing to do. My dad threatened if I told anyone what he does to me he would hold me hostage and torture me, thrn after a while kill me. Also, what I haven't told him is that I've started cutting myself on purpose. I've been trying to stop but I can't help it anymore.

*Three week time skip*

Ed's P.O.V

She's gone, mom's dead. Al, (y/n), and I sat at her grave. " I'm cold and hungry. I miss mom." Al complained. I responded, "Don't worry Al, we won't live without her, we are going to get her back, I promise". (Y/n) looked at me with an expression of pure terror, " You don't mean,... Ed you can't". She has definitely caught on to what I meant, "(y/n) please..." i asked saldly pleading, " NO way Ed, you saw what happened to me, I don't want that for you. If you've forgotten then let me just tell you it's not worth it, I lost everything important to me: my mom, my brother, and my good, strong, stable relationship with my dad, I lost everything, doing it after I warned you would just mock me, and..." she stopped short with a gasp,"and...?" I asked a little guilty as if telling her she could continue, " And you're way to important to me to lose you like I did everything else" she added in blushing and making me blush too. "Ed you can't be God, have you heard of the man who made himself wings of wax?" I shook my head no, "Well he wanted to fly so he made a pair of wings out of wax, they worked, but when he got to close to the sun, his wings melted and he crashed to the ground and died. Ed you, nor any other person can play God and get away without severe consequences" "You don't think I don't already know what I'm getting into! Look (y/n), all I want is my mom back, that cant be too much to ask, right?" She scoffed "yeah, thats what I thought at first too"

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I can't believe Ed! I'm just so mad that he cant get through his skull that this is a bad idea, I would know, but he's just not listening to me. He grabbed my shoulders to force me to face him, he stared deeply into my eyes,"(y/n), Al and I may be the first ones to successfully pull off a human transmutation, we have more experience in alchemy than you did back then. We could actually do this" I snapped, "FINE! IGNORE ME AND GET YOURSELVES KILLED, SEE IF I CARE! but just know, you will regret not taking my advice into consideration." I honestly hated getting mad at Ed. I almost regretted it seeing the heartbroken look on his face when I yelled was too much for me to handle. "Look, (y/n), I'm sor-" I cut him off by roughly shaking out of his grip and running away.

Ed's P.O.V

Man, I messed up so bad, (y/n)'s mad at me and if there was any hope that she liked me back, I just crushed it. She ran away, why of all days, did this have to happen, I was going to tell her my feelings today, but that thought is definetly crushed.

Time skip two hours

Still Ed's P.O.V

I realized that I can't hold back anymore, I don't care if she likes me back or not, I just need to know so I can stop chasing after her if she doesn't love me back.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

I was at my house with my dad yelling at me, like usual and I ran to the river that Ed, Al, Winry, and I play at to escape.

Time skip to the river

I was sitting at the river staring into the water, that reflected the last bit of the day's light. It had small calm waves moving along through the body of water. I jumped slightly when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Ed smiling down at me, "Can I sit here?" He asked still smiling, I just nodded "I'm sorry about earlier" we both said in unison, staring at each other until we burst into a fit of giggles. Why is he the only one that can make me do this? No one else in the world can make me show emotion, especially this much. "Look, (y/n) there is something I nee to tell you..." I looked at him confused but nodded anyway "Sure, you know you can tell me anything" I said looking at him, smiling brightly. He took a deep breath. He opened his mouth to speak just as I felt an arm wrap tightly around my stomach and a hand over my mouth. I struggled to get free as Ed panicked. I looked up to see my dad angry as always, he kicked Ed and I bit his hand that was over my mouth and he retreated the hand away from my mouth, "Don't hurt him you bastard!" I screamed and spat in his face. "I'm takimg you away from here, I decided to be safe and take you away from people before you could tell them our little secret." He started dragging me away and I looked at Ed "You will be able to tell me, when I return, which I will, I promise Ed!" I yelled to him just before he was blocked from my sight by trees and other plants. My dad knocked me out and I was surrounded by blackness as he laughed, "good luck with that" he said before I fully succumbed to the darkness.

Ed's P.O.V

You've got to be kidding me, she's gone too. Why is everyone I care about disappearing?

(A/n: that is the end of the chapter. Now before you come at me in your angry mobs with your pitchforks and torches let me explain why this took so long. First off, I had to write this chapter four times. I finished it the first time, then my phone crashed and I lost it, then I rewrote it, then my wattpad didn't save it, so I rewrote it once more, and then it said that the work could not be saved, due to conflict so it deleted itself and I rewrite it again. So I was kind of angry, but it'sall good now because I finally got it out to y'all. I'm glad you finally get to read it. And a special thanks to @candygirlsunshine123 for helping with ideas. I hope you enjoyed, next chapter will hopefully be out soon.
