Previously on Saving Phoebe:
"Okay," Carol nodded. "So, where's Hayley?"
"Out."
"Oh. How long is she staying for?"
"Why? Is it a problem?" Tyler asked cautiously.
"No! No, it's been good, actually, having a full house. It was lonely with just Liz and I. It's a big house. She's welcome to stay for as long as she likes."
"Thanks." Tyler nodded. "Mom, in case you get funny ideas, Hayley and I are just friends."
"I know." Carol smiled. The phone rang again and Carol ignored it. "They'll leave a message if it's important."
"Hayley makes me smile. Sometimes." Tyler exhaled and looked at Carol. "I know I need to move on from Fee. But it will take time. But I will try, mom. For you and for her."
"Good." Carol beamed. "She would want you to."
"Later, after dinner. I want to go and see her. At the cemetery. It's been so long since I-"
"Carol, when you get this, call me. It's about Phoebe. You will not believe me, but it was her. She's back."
Carol and Tyler looked at the answermachine at the same time. It was Caroline.

Chapter 8:
She's back.
She's back.
She's back.
These words clanged and echoed in Tyler's mind. He ran towards the answerphone machine and pressed play again. Carol, when you get this, call me. It's about Phoebe. You will not believe me, but it was her. She's back.
Tyler played it again.
Carol, when you get this, call me. It's about Phoebe. You will not believe me, but it was her. She's back.
And again.
Carol, when you get this, call me. It's about Phoebe. You will not believe me, but it was her. She's back.
Tyler was about to play it again when Carol grabbed his hand. "Tyler?"
"I have to go," Tyler pulled himself free and began to walk.
"Wait!" Carol called. When he didn't respond, Carol quickly turned off the soup and rushed after him, grabbing her coat as she passed the foyer.
At the Salvatore Boarding House, Damon scowled as he looked at his phone. "Stefan, you world class jerk."
"What's up?" Elena asked.
"Stefan won't answer my calls."
"He's left town," Elena murmured.
"What?" Damon looked at her incrediously. "Why am I only finding out now?"
"He left a note." Elena held up a paper and sighed.
Damon took the note from her and scanned across. "Try to find me and things will get messy." Crumpling up the paper, Damon threw it in the fire and watched it burn. "What the hell am I supposed to do now?"
"Hey," Elena walked towards Damon and rested her chin on his shoulder, "we'll get through it together. Okay? I'm here for you."
Damon smiled and turned around. "How is Jeremy?"
