It's break a day off no school. Even better on a Friday so no curfew. So I convince my parents to let me stay out late in the city. I mean I'm a high school senior I gotta live at least a bit. So now here I'm with my super reliable best friend. My parents knew they could trust us two together. She wanted to take me to the more local area rather then the heart of the city. To really catch the city true colors, or at least the good ones. She used to live there so she knows her way. Soon it's dark and we started making our way to the subway through a shortcut. But soon I smell alcohol. I glance behind and see three people walking behind us laughing. I ignore them thinking eh almost there anways. But soon they grabs us. I kick them where the sun doesn't shine and ran. "Which way" I yelled "turn here."she yelled back holding on to her bag. I turn the wrong way I try turn back but they've cornered me at a dead end I climb a dumbster to reach the fire escape. But I'm too short. Soon one of them grabs my foot "your not going anywhere till we get some compensation" one said taking out his switch blade. "Fong un hand her" Someone said on the roof but I couldn't see who. But that sounded really heroic it made me laugh a bit. "Heh and your going to stop-" fong said but was cut off by getting punched into the wall. And the other two pummeled. The two scrambled with fong away. I stood there wide eyed not believing what happened. Then I spotted a large figure "hey thanks" I said standing behind him. "No problem" he said backing off. "Wait what's your name" I reached out to feel a shell. Then a car passed by and I saw him. A turtle with beautiful blue eyes. He looked surprised. I stood there smiling. The light was then gone and everything was black. "Your.. your not going to run or scream." He said kinda scared. Soon apartment lights turned on and we could see each other. I looked surprised by his remark "why would I? Your not scary. Ghosts yes but you no. Well except Casper he's nice. Oh and clowns and sometimes the dark and... heh what's your name?" I said kinda shy. He laughed "my name is leonardo and your name is?" He said amusingly. "My name is Brianna." I said still smiling. He walked closer and to the point I had to look up up. He was so tall. "Taaaallll" I said amazed. "Ah sorry I. Uhm bad habit" I laughed still smiling. He laughed "your pretty funny Brianna" he seems so sweet. Then I realized my friend was with me.. "dang it I'm sorry I have to go" I then ran to her direction immediately. "It was nice meeting you leonardo" I yelled turning back but he was gone.
