"Raven?" I heard a familiar voice as I stepped out of the jet.
"Ahh Irene! Good to see you," I said, giving her a hug
"I don't have long, Raven," she said.
"I know" I said. "That's why I already bought a flat." I smiled.
"We'll have to hurry, I can't stay in one place for too long," She said, looking around. I'd never seen her so anxious before... not for years. She dragged me out of the airport and into a taxi.
"Okay, sister, what's the plan?" I said, looking out in to London. What a nice city.
"I have none," she said looking at me. She looked dead, tired. She was really nothing without that stupid camera phone.
"Okay well then, I'll think of something. Just stay low," I said, getting out of the cab. I looked up at the address. 221b Baker Street.
-
I knocked on the door and seconds later an older lady came and opened it.
"Oh. Hello dear, how can I help you?" she asked sweetly.
"I'm here to rent the apartment," I said. She gave me a confused look and looked at me again.
"Oh you mean the flat! You must be American. Yes, I remember, you called last week. I'm Mrs. Hudson," she said, leading me to the apartment. "Well, here you go. I hope you don't mind the mold for now, but I'm sure we'll find someone to fix that dear"
"Thanks" I said setting my bags down. Looks like 221c is my new home.
"I'll just need your name and you can pay me at the end of the month," she smiled.
