I walked up the stairs and hid behind the door when I heard Sherlock and John coming.

"Clearly you've got news" I heard Sherlock say. "If it's about the Leeds triple murder, it was the gardener. Nobody noticed the earring."

"Hi. Er, no, it's, um ... it's about Irene Adler." John said nervously

Ooo news about my sis, interesting.

"Oh? Something happened? Has she come back?" He asked clearly interested

"No, she's, er ... I just bumped into Mycroft downstairs. He had to take a call." John said

Oh this will make great conversation

"Is she back in London?" Sherlock asked

"No. She's, er ... She's in America" John mumbled

"America?" Sherlock questioned

America... No John is lying, she probably got herself killed.

"Mmm-hmm. Got herself on a witness protection scheme, apparently. Dunno how she swung it, but, er, well, you know." John rambled

Yep definitely got herself killed

"I know what?" Sherlock said

"Well, you won't be able to see her again." John said

"Why would I want to see her again?" Sherlock said "Is that her file?"

"Yes. I was just gonna take it back to Mycroft." John said "Do you want to ...?"

"No."

"Listen, actually ..."

"Oh, but I will have the camera phone, though." Sherlock said

"There's nothing on it any more. It's been stripped."

"I know, but I ... I'll still have it."

"I've gotta give this back to Mycroft. You can't keep it. Sherlock, I have to give this to Mycroft. It's the government's now. I couldn't even give ..." John tried to argue

"Please." Sherlock said

"Did she ever text you again, after ... all that?"

"Once, a few months ago." Sherlock softly

"What did she say?" John asked

"Goodbye, Mr. Holmes."

"Huh" John said and left after a moment of silence

"You can come out of hiding now Raven" Sherlock said

"Who's Irene Adler?" I asked walking up behind him from my hiding place

"I'll tell you later" he said and walked away without another word.
