~Next day~

"Trent, stay home. You don't seem to well." I told him as I handed him his breakfast in bed. Trent was really pale ever since last night. 

"If I stay home then you stay home as well. You can barely walk with what ever happened to your leg. For pete's sake Conner had to carry you in here last night." Trent said, sitting up straight in his bed. 

"Trent, I'll be fine, I stay behind the counter nearly 99% of the time. You, on the other hand, run around, and you look like you have not even an ounce of energy in you." I told him as I put my hand on his forehead to check his temperature. His temperature felt fine, so I don't know why he was so pale. I mean, he's been getting enough sleep now a days so sleep deprivation isn't it. He's been eating well too. 

"Aria, I'm going to work." He said sternly before gobbling down his breakfast. I sighed and rolled my eyes, knowing that I won't be able to change his mind. "Oh, you never told me what happened to your legs Aria." Trent tried to get back on that topic once more. 

I stayed quiet for a bit as I tried to think of a lie. "Uhm... I was hiking through the woods yesterday with Dr. O because I was helping him find some stuff for science class next week." I lied smoothly. 

"Didn't I tell you to be careful you silly girl?" Trent chuckled as he sat up a little more. 

"Well I'm a klutz, so hurting myself is unavoidable." I half lied. I was a klutz, but I manage to keep myself from being injured most of the time. I opened my mouth to asked Trent something, but my phone rang. "Excuse me." I excused myself, grabbed my phone and went out to the hallway.

Me: Hello?

Blake: Hey, Aria.

Me: Oh, hey Blake, how ya been? Not to sound rude, but why are you calling? *chuckles*

Blake: Well, I was calling to tell you that we can't visit you at the end of the month, our competition got moved to an earlier date, so maybe some time next month.

Me: Oh... Alright, well thanks for letting me know...

Blake: Hey, don't feel down. I promise, we'll make it up to you when we visit. We'll even bring your bike and we'll go dirt biking. *chuckles*

Me: I'm keeping you to that bro *chuckles* 

Blake: Oh I know you will. Well, I'll talk to you later alright?

Me: Alright, take care.

Blake: Bye, sis, miss you, love you.

Me: Bye, bro, miss you too, love you.

Sighing, I clicked the end button and went back into the room. "Who was that? If you don't mind answering that is." Trent asked when I walked into the room.

"It was my brother. He just called me to tell me that him and my other won't be able to visit." I answered him with a sad smile. 

"Oh come here Aria," he reaches his arm out and pulls me into a hug, "Don't feel sad. At least you'll get to see them soon right?" I slowly nodded in response to his question. "Wait, you have brothers?" Trent asked with a curious expression after he pulled away.

"Yeah, I have two older brothers." I smiled as I pulled out a picture of them. The picture was of me, Hunter, and Blake at the beach. We all had big smiles on our faces as we had our arms around each other's shoulders. I showed Trent the picture and he chuckled slightly.

"You look so happy." He said before handing me back my picture. "You're adopted?" He asked. 

"Yeah, actually, all of us are adopted." I answered Trent as I put the picture away.
