Hey guys so I haven't updated in a while and I apologize so here is the next chapter enjoy

Maya's Pov

I walked to the address Lucas gave me earlier
Hmm nice house
It's a blue and two story house with a nice garden

I walked up the steps and knocked on the the door
I waited a few seconds and then see Lucas

"Hey shortstack"

He had a smirk on his face because he knows I hate being called that

"Huckleberry now can I come in or........."

He hesitated a bit before letting me inside

We head upstairs I'm guessing to his room

"We're are your family members"I ask

"Oh well my mom is in Texas this week visiting my dad and my older sister is with her boyfriend"

I nod understanding

"Okay so let's start with our project"
I got out a notebook and pen and Lucas did the same

"Okay Maya so who are you"

I thought about it and laughed mentally he really is a huckleberry if he thinks I'm gonna tell him the truth

"I'm Maya hart ok your turn"
Lucas smirked

"No no no Maya I'm not done I wanna know the real Maya the one your hiding under your mask"

I sighed maybe I should just tell him a bit

"Fine then I'll go again, I'm Maya hart I'm 16 and I am not innocent that's for sure I have have a mom and no dad and I'm darker in the inside than out"

I smiled satisfied with myself
I notice Lucas writing a bunch of stuff down

"Ok Lucas now is your turn who are you"

I see him think for a while

"Ok then I'm Lucas I am an open book at school but when I'm at home I'm filled with secrets"

He had a strange smile on his face but it looked kinda cute

"And,I'm not so innocent either and I have changed a lot since middle school,and Texas"

Comfortable silence fills the room for a few seconds as I just stare at Lucas greenish eyes and he looks at my eyes
I clear my throat awkwardly to break the silence

"Ok well cowboy that's enough for today I'll just um go now"

And with that I left the room and house

It's so strange I felt like I had butterflies in my stomach when I was with Lucas and the last time I felt those was when I was with josh

Hmm maybe things are changing with Lucas
Well I hope there not
I don't need any cowboy drama here nope

I walk all the way to a kid from school Jackson's house and do what we usually do on Thursdays
