New Visits and New Perspectives

After a while of seeing my mom through APN she was granted  new weekend visitations as well as my grandparents on her side. The first, third, and fourth Sunday of every month was the way I went to visit my mom from 9am to 5pm. The third Saturday of the month my grandparents picked my siblings and I up at 5pm and we spent the night at their house. At 9am the next day, started my moms visitation.

For a while this worked fine for us, but my mom wanted more. She kept taking my dad to court so she could try and get more visitation or partial custody if she was lucky. There were only a couple problems standing in her way. She had to successfully pass random drug tests for a year and pay all of her child support on time. She never ended up going in to start the random drug test program despite claiming she was clean for years to come. She also couldn't make the child support payments because she couldn't hold a job.

At some point she fell so far behind in payments that she was 27 something thousand in debt.  My dad took her to court for lack payments. When he found out how long she would go to jail for not paying, he bailed her out. For us. My dad knew how heart broken we would be if she got thrown in jail. So, he absolved her from her debt so long as she promised to be on time for every visitation and re-enter rehab or at least take random drug tests.

She followed his terms for a few months. Then she started showing up late to pick us up with BS excuses and stopped showing up for her random drug tests.
