Winter had always been my favorite season. Snowball fights, snowmen, sledding, and skating were my favorite activities. As a little kid, my mom and I used to joke about Jack Frost nipping at our noses. I used to laugh at the "expression".
As a 15-year-old girl I don't laugh anymore. To me, Jack Frost wasn't some expression, he was a real living person. The Easter Bunny, Santa, The Tooth Fairy, and The Sandman were real too. These beliefs made me different.
As a child, I fit in with all of the others. When I grew older, my friends stopped believing and I grew more and more alone. Until last year my parents were there for me. They got in a car accident and passed away. I live alone and work every day for money. I still go to school and learn but none of the teachers or students know about my parents. I don't fit in with any of the groups at school either.
I'm the only one who still believes.
