"Do you want to be a guardian?" North asked, as we walked over to the Pole's other main room.
"What would I do?" I responded.
"Protect the children of the world" he answered.
"Sure!" I told him, "Why not!"

After the official guardian ceremony, I went back to my house with Jack, so I could grab a dress for the dinner we were having later.
"Your house is creepy!" Jack exclaimed as we walked into the main hall of my house.
"Thanks?" I said, laughing at my own reaction. Jack laughed too, following me up the wide staircase. I walked over to my room and told Midnight to take Jack into her room while I got my dress.
When I came back out of my room, Jack and Midnight were hanging out at the top of the stairs. I walked over behind Jack and put my hands over his eyes.
"Guess who!" I whispered, and he laughed.
"(y/n)" he said, standing up to look at me. "You look amazing!"
Before I could respond, Jack leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine. I was surprised at first but melted into the sweet gesture in seconds. When we broke apart, we stared into each other's eyes for a minute before either one of us could say nything.
