Someone once said, it is not within the stars that lie our destiny it is within ourselves.
Katrina, Emily and Cindy. These are names of women, the happen to be some of the most common names of women in America. But that's not what relates these women.
Hurricane Katrina, hurricane Emily and hurricane Cindy are three large hurricanes that hit America during the year of 2005, Katrina being the most destructive leaving a trail of dead body's and shattered hearts in its wake.
But why? Why would these horrible natural disasters be given these lovely names. The name Katrina derived from German meaning "pure", Emily, derived from Ancient Roman and Latin, meaning "steady" and finally Cindy, short for Cynthia meaning "the Greek goddess from Cynthus".
Why we're these names chosen to represent and name such catastrophic natural disasters. Well...I shall tell you.
This is a true story. This is a sad story. This is my story.
