Zane's pov
Getting up in the mornings suck, I can hear this faint noise in the back of my mind, kind of like a nagging sound. Why is there a noise? Why can't I just sleep in for once?"Shut up stupid alarm clock" I say as I push out my arm and hit something soft, wait, soft? What'd I hit? The only thing I can think of is a giant panda bear but I doubt that there's a panda in here, but a boy can dream can't I?
"Hey!! Don't hit me! You need to get up lazy ass before you're late for school. Again!!". I open my eyes and through the bright sun light I can see my best friend Kyle standing next to my bed with his hands on his hips.
"Ugh why do I have to go? Can't I just quit and become a stripper?" I question with my hopes up.
He looks at me in disbelief, "Zane we've already talked about this. For that to happen you have to actually be attractive and have people want you."
"You're an ass. Remind me again, why am I friends with somebody like you?"
"Because I'm hilarious and you love me. Now hurry up so we can make it to school, I told Angel that we'd be there in about 15min and I want to get in some morning make outs before class starts." I look up at him and see him winning and I just sigh in annoyance. Angel is Kyle's girlfriend and they've been together for about a year or two and their favorite hobbies include making out at school, making out in front of me, and I once caught them making out on my bed. After that I washed my sheets twice.
"Fine fine I'm getting up, I'll meet you downstairs" I tell him hoping he'll leave me alone, and thankfully he actually does what I want him to. As soon as he leaves I get up and throw on some random black clothes, because they go with everything, and brush my teeth in my bathroom before heading downstairs.
As soon as I get downstairs I see Kyle talking to my dad in the kitchen while mom is pouring him coffee. As if she senses my presence she looks up and smiles waving.
"Hey honey, glad to see you're up and ready to go."
"Thanks to me, if I hadn't gotten him up he'd be dead asleep" I hear Kyle say before I glare at him to shut up. Sometimes his ability to praise himself never seems to fail.
"Alright well we have to go, or else we'll be late. Kyle wants to go and have "study time" with Angel" I throw my hands up for the study time because we all know all they do is make out. My dad laughs while Kyle just stares at me. I know if we don't leave now we actually will be late so I grab his arm and haul him out of my house while waving by and saying my I love you's and see you later's.

Angel and Kyle started making out not even five minutes into seeing each other and since I still wanted to see, I decided to head to my 1st period class and take out a book to read until the bell rings. It's I don't know how long later when I look up from my book and I see everybody in their seat and taking down notes. Shit! I can't get behind.
I lean over and tap on the random person who sits next to me (yes I don't know his name and don't judge me), and ask him if I can copy when he's done. As he nods his head I sigh in relief, thankful that I won't be behind after all. Class flies by in a flash and so do the next two and before you know it it's lunch. I make my way to the table where Kyle and Angel are at and see they're in an argument and I know not to get into that, so I just sit down on the other side of the table and look around.
That's when I notice him walk in, Josh James. He's about 6'2, has light brunette hair that shines like the sun, and has model style looks that would make you think he was born from gods. He heads over to his usual table and I can't help but follow him with my eyes the whole way. I must be pretty zoned out by now because all of a sudden I'm being shaken by Kyle and he's yelling in my ear.
"Zane!! Zane! Are you even listening to me? Snap out of it!"
I slowly tear my eyes away from Josh and look at Kyle with the best fake smile I can muster up, "of course I am! Why would you think I wasn't?"
"Oh I don't know, probably because you're staring at McDreamy over there (Greys anatomy joke, sorry couldn't help myself) and you're drooling. My eyes widen at the last part and I wipe at my mouth with a napkin before I realize he's just messing with me and in return I send a hateful glare at him.
"Haha" I muster up a fake laugh, "very funny. But how do you know I was staring?"
"Because that's all you ever do. Stare at McDreamy and go into your own wonderland." That's true, I do zone out a lot while looking at Josh, but I can't help it. Have you seen Josh James? He's like a god and he's got the best smile.
"Whatever, I was just letting my eyes wonder." Just because he's right doesn't mean I have to let him know that. Before he can say anything the bell rings and I hop up out of my seat and start sprinting out of the cafeteria down the hallways through people when suddenly I hit something hard, but kind of soft. I have no idea what it could be, but as I look up I notice that it's a person. And not only a person, but THE person, Josh James.
"I-I-I'm so s-sorry. I didn't see you there." Oh my gosh I can't believe I just ran face first into the only person I like, talk about bad first impressions. But suddenly I hear a chuckle and I'm lost, before I look up and notice that he's chuckling. Wait. Chuckling? Why's he chuckling? I guess he can see the curious look in my eyes because he starts explaining himself.
"Sorry, but you were talking about not seeing me, but I doubt you could see anybody. You were running so fast that I thought you were going to time travel or something." There's a playful glint in his eyes which makes me relax a bit.
"Y-yeah, sorry again. But I'm going to be late to my next class if I don't go." I wave and step around him, resuming my running. Thankfully I make it to my seat before the bell rings. I can't believe that I ran into Josh, but nows not the time to be focused on that. Nows the time to focus on math. I get out my notebook and write down the warm up problem and try to solve it, but I'm completely stumped.
Math isn't really my best subject, I have a C in here and I need to get my grade up. It's just kind of hard to pay attention because we're in our last period of the day and all I can think about is going home, changing into my sweatpants, and watching my favorite show Grey's Anatomy. Soon the bell rings and everybody starts packing up and chattering away about their plans for the weekend.
I start heading for the door but soon my math teacher Mr. Jacob
calls me over to his desk. What can he possibly want? It's Friday and time to go home and he's trying to keep me stuck here!!"Mr. Daniels, I know you work hard in this class but it's not cutting it. I can see you going over all the work but I think you need some thing more." Oh no, I hope he's not about to say what I think he is.
"You need a tutor."
"What? No I don't have time for a tutor."
"You can make time if you want to pass this class. I've already assigned you one of my brightest students and you'll meet him on Monday after school. Now get out of here and enjoy your weekend Mr. Daniels." It's obvious I can't change his mind so I just wave and make my way out of the school to go home. I can't believe I have to get a tutor, this is ridiculous.
I hope that you guys liked my first official chapter. I can't really tell how much I wrote since I'm on my phone but I hope it's not too little, comment your opinions so far! I can't wait to hear from you guys. And I'm going to try and write a new chapter every night if I can. Alright well I'm hopping off here (jk, I'm just going to read instead of write). Have a goodnight peoples and sweet dreams!!
