??????'s point of view-
What am I doing outside? I don't remember coming out here in the first place. I hope mom and dad aren't mad that I'm gone. Why am I outside at night time anyways? Yep, they're definitely going to be mad. Crap.
I turned around, and ran back my home where my parents and my brother must have been waiting. I saw a man up ahead on the path, wearing a backpack and holding a map and compass. He must have been one of those travelers that come by here every day. I was running fast, and almost ran into him. I quickly stepped aside, but continued with my stride.
"Sorry, sir!" I called out to him as I waved.
I continued to run down the gravel path, until I reach the old, torn down house. Vines were growing here and there, there were holes in the floor and the ceiling, and it was quite small, but it was the place I now call my home. Armen had picked it out, I believe. I let out a sigh, nervous about how mom and dad would react to me coming home so late. They're probably scared to death.
I walked up onto the old, rickety porch, and pushed the old doors open. There was a vile smell, but it was so familiar. Maybe dad went hunting and came back with kill for dinner? Gross, but we have to survive like that. I just hoped they weren't fighting again, especially in front of Armen.
"Mom, dad! I'm ho.." I stopped dead in my tracks.
My eyes became wide, and my heart raced. My body shook and my breathing became uneasy. I felt like I was going to throw up. The floor and the walls was stained with blood. My mother and father laid on the stone floor, surrounded by a pool of blood.
My mother was decapitated, and my father was stabbed so many times in the chest, face, and abdomen that his face was nearly unrecognizable, and his intestines and guts were spread across the floor. A sword was in his open hand, showing that he tried to defend his family. My eyes filled with tears, and let them go down my cheeks, as I gasped, trying to breathe.
"M-mom...d-dad...?"
I ran to the bodies, but as I feel to my knees next to the corpses, they vanished. Every body part, and every speck of blood disappeared, like it was never even there. What's happening? Am I going insane?
"Armen!" I called out, running to my room.
I went through it, and went to Armen's room, only to find that he wasn't there. I was terrified. I was either losing my mind, or something really did happen and my brain was putting me in some sort of denial. I ran out, and went up the stairs to my parents bedroom. I pushed open the old doors, and ran into the small room.
It was long in length, and had open space on the wall to allow us to look down onto the kitchen. At the far end of the room, was a desk, and in front of the desk, was a young boy sitting on the ground. He had his knees up to his face, and sobbed into his legs as he held them close. I could see small stains of blood on his clothing, and his cheek. His blonde hair was matted down in blood as well.
"A-Armen?!" I ran to him, but his body vanished like a ghost.
I stared at the spot that the image of my brother once sat. I couldn't believe this. Is this a consequence for what I did? What am I talking about? What did I do? I spun around when a loud, yet dark echo of a laugh broke out. For a split second, I saw a man standing there. He looked like me, but his eyes were completely white. He had a wide, maniacal grin on his face. He vanished almost instantly.
Why are you caring for ones who never existed in your life? You don't have any family. You've never had parents. You're nothing to this pitiful world. Just a mistake that was never meant to be.
