Ariel
I stepped out of the shower feeling clean and refreshed. Water always made me feel this way, I don't know why. It just did. Squeezing the excess water out of my hair, I checked the clock on the wall of the bathroom. 7:17. School started at 8:30 exactly.
I'd planned it perfectly. There was no way I'd be late. Drying myself with a towel, I walked into my room, and picked up the clothes on the bed. Being the organized person I am, I had already laid out my clothes the night before.
I slipped on a pair of light blue jeans with sewn on flowers, and a green and white striped top. I know, simple for a first day of school. But that was me. Simple. I slipped on a pair of green flats, and walked down the stairs to breakfast.
As usual, the entire house was in an uproar. I rolled my eyes. Honestly, was I the only organized, sane human in this household?? Aquata and Attina were arguing about who owned the "cute" pair of black boots that was in the middle of the room they shared. One of the good things about being the youngest was that I didn't have to share a room with any of my annoying, boy crazy, fashion model sisters.
I grabbed my yogurt from the fridge, grabbed my pre-packed bag, and headed out to the front lawn to wait for my boyfriend Woody, who had promised to drive me to school. Before I could leave, however, my sister Arista grabbed my arm tightly.
"Ow," I protested, "What the heck was that for?!?" Arista let go, but there was still a big, red mark on my arm. Perfect.
"You know what that's for," Arista hissed. "That was for telling on me to Dad about spilling the nail polish." I rolled my eyes. All my stupid sisters cared about was makeup, boys, clothes, boys, shoes, boys, gossiping... have I mentioned boys? I just wanted to get out there, and explore. I dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, just because I want to be part of their world. [A/N: Bad pun, I know. Continue the story!! :)] The sea creatures, I mean.
Glancing outside, I could see that Woody had arrived, and was honking his horn, and smirking cutely in the direction of the window.
"Whatever Arista, you deserved it anyway," I huffed, and walked out of the house.
"Hey come back! I'm not done with you! We still need to talk about..." Arista called after me. I blocked out her voice, and continued to Woody's car. Sighing, I opened the front door, and slid into the shotgun seat.
"Hey Ariel," Woody said, smiling at me in the cutest way possible. Despite the horrible morning, I grinned back at him. Woody was hard to get mad at.
"Hi Woody. Sorry I was delayed, usual sister drama," I rolled my eyes. Woody nodded, completely understanding. He'd only been to our house once for dinner, and had shockingly escape with all of his limbs still firmly attached.
"Got it girlfriend," he smirked, and started the car engine.
Author's Note: Yay! Another chapter! Sorry that only Ariel is in this one, and that it's so short, I will try to write more.
Competition knocks for those of you who want to be in the story. First people to guess the name of the song can give me what their character will be like! Here are the lyrics:
One day,
when I came home,
at lunchtime,
I heard a funny noise.
Went out
to the backyard
to find out
If it was one of those rowdy boys.
