"It's not good news" He let out a sigh "Have you been in contact with your mother lately?"
"Y-yes. We talked only a few hours ago.." Tears were effortlessly creeping down my cheek.
"Did she seem odd or unusual?" He bluntly asked.
"No! She seemed fine! Please tell me her hearts still beating" I begged. I don't think I could lose my Mum. She was all I had left. If she's gone than what the hell is the point anymore?
"Yes, she is still alive, but only just. She lost a lot of blood.." he stopped. "Would you like to know what happened?" His voice softening.
I hesitated, but it was a clear answer. "Please.."
"Your mother overdosed on pills, but we believe that before that, she conflicted pain against herself which caused her to lose the blood."
I gasped. No, that sound's nothing like her. She would never do such a thing.
"Right now she's hooked up to some machines, helping her to survive. But we need your permission to put somebody Else's blood into her to help her blood flow working."
"Yes yes, do whatever you can.. I just need to know if she'll be okay."
"We're hoping for the best, so far there's a 70% chance, and with the blood that she needs it'll be even a higher of a chance of survival. I suggest you come visit just in case.. as you are the only family she has left" The line went dead.
I sniffled, trying to get my breathing back to normal, trying to calm myself. It didn't work. I let out soft sobs, pulling my knees to my chest. I have to see her. I have to. I opened my laptop, which automatically stung my eyes, lighting the room. I searched for the local airport and booked a flight. It takes off at 6:15am. I didn't hesitate to jump out of bed. Even though it cost me a lot of my savings, there was no way I could leave her alone. Not now. She needed me.
I fetched my biggest suitcase from the spare room closet and threw half of my closet in there, shuffling through what I'd actually need. I still had plenty of space, so I packed my camera, chargers, shoes, bathroom needs and all the other essentials I need. By the time I had done that the sun was almost ready to rise. It was at least 5:20am, so I quickly got changed into some comfortable travelling clothes and headed out to the lounge room with my suitcase rolling behind me.
I decided to leave a note for Nicole. I was already half way through when I heard a soft sleepy voice from behind me.
"Tiarna, what are you doing?" She yawned, then glanced to my suitcase. "Where are you going?!" She moaned.
"I'm.. I'm going home for a little while." I tried holding back my tears but one managed to escape.
"What are you talking about?" She asked, rubbing her eyes.
"Nicole.. Mum.. She.. She tried to commit suicide." Nicole eye's widened as she covered her mouth from the gasp that had escaped.
"Oh my god" Tears were now brimming in her eyes. "I'm so sorry" She said, running over to comfort me in a hug, while she sobbed into my shoulder. Nicole was like my adopted sister. She was very close to my mum, possibly more than her own. "I'll come with you!" She stepped back wiping her eye's.
"As much as I appreciate that thought, I'd rather if you stayed here and explain why I left. Especially to work and of coarse the guys.." I huffed. She nodded in understanding. "I love you Nicole" I smiled and headed for the door.
She wrapped her arms from behind me. "I love you more"

I boarded the plane, and slumped in my seat, crossing my legs. A good ten minutes time, we were about to abort. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out instantly.
