The Voyage

I've been waiting on the pier since the ninja left the alley way around 7:15 ish. It's four and half hours since then. So 11:45, the ninja are cutting it close, for the ferry leaves in fifteen minutes. My task is to catch the eye of Kai the master of fire. But I have to be mysterious. I am also to observe the other elemental masters to detect their strengths and weaknesses. I know it's sorta cheating, being the master of amber, able to use their own powers against them. But who am I kidding? This is the mission that will determine if I will be part of my father's master plan. I can not fail. So here it goes. Neuro, the master of the mind his weakness is mainly for his lack of socializing. Karlof, the master of metal, is not as smart. Bolobo, the master of plant life, is not physically strong. Tox, the master of poision, is short tempered. A wind that can blow both ways.  Mr. Paleman, the master of light, Is shy. Shade, master of shadows, I haven't figured him out yet. Camille, master of form, quiet, and unpredictable. Griffin Turner, the master of speed. He talks to much. Gravis, master of gravity,  is old.  At 11:55 Chopov, one of the guards point to the back of the dock and there was the ninja. Each in a different robe. Lloyd in his Techno robe. Jay in his ZX robe. Cole in his DX robe and Kai in his  original garb. I saw Clouse drive the ferry into the docks and as two guards lay down a plank of wood across the ferry to the dock. Clouse said loudly, "All aboard for Chen's island." Clouse glanced at me and said in a voice that was quiet but still carried out to where the ninja stood. "Watch your step. Madam." I saw Kai look in my direction and I made a smile and looked away. Kai's eyes lost their guard and as planned, he was unfocused as Lloyd said. "We can't let anything distract us. you hear me Kai?" "Yeah, what he said." Murmured Kai. I walked over the plank and onto the ferry and make my way to the port side bow. I watched the island of Ninjago grow distant as we went on our voyage. Not far from me was Karlof, and he was shivering slightly in the cold wind. Who knew that a big guy like Karlof would get the shivers? A strikingly familiar voice rang through my thoughts, I looked behind me and it was my fathers former pupil. Lord Garmadon, now known as Sensei Garmadon. Was talking to the ninja about "having honor" and that he swore never to come back to this island. Then some one grabbed my arm. I looked up to see Karlof's face extremely close to mine. I felt his power surge through my body as I absorbed his element, feeling similar to when I abtained Zane's element of ice, dizzy, then strong. maybe I can use this scenario as an opportunity to my benefit. So I pretend to give in to his strenght and then I heard Kai stand up and walk over "well honor means something to me." Karlof let go of me and turned to Kai.   I stood up and said, "it's all right, I can fend for myself." Karlof advanced on Kai ignoring me and went on to talking to Kai, " this is none of his business. Karlof cold, Karlof want her cloak." Kai retorted, "you seem to have big enough mittens, why don't you leave the gal alone."  Karlof, now angry, said, "these aren't mittens, these hands Crush Ninja!!" "I'd like to see you try." Said Kai. "Don't think Karlof afraid of you?" Karlof  yelled. Enraged now. "No, you don't think much. do you?" Kai joked. "Save it for the tournament Kai."   Said Garmadon, But instead of obeying his Sensei  Kai lit his hand on fire and advances.  Karlof banged his fists together to  create a armor of metal and charged Kai  through the roof and then they continued the fight elsewhere. I glanced at the other ninja and Cole  stepped forward but Garmadon stopped him in his tracks . "This is Kai's fight, stay back."  "Yes Sensei." Said Cole.  I sensed a disciplined, controlled air around cole. How could he be so calm? He was emotionally physically balanced unlike the others who were protesting about what their Sensei said.
Then without warning,  Kai and Karlof fall through the ceiling and as Karlof  was about to bring down the fatal blow, . Clouse walked in and  said, "save your strength for the tournament  Karlof  and Kai. Let's not make the wrong impression hm? Then he left. Karlof walked off to talk to Griffin Turner, and  then I had the split-second choice to   Help Kai up and absorb his power.  So I walked to him and held out my hand. And said "sorry about being cold to you earlier." He grasped my hand  and I felt a heat surge through my arm as I helped him up and like I felt the way I had absorbed the metal power and ice. I felt stronger and stronger. I walked away to the stern of the ferry and watched as my fathers island drew nearer and then I heard Garmadon say, "I swore never to return to this place." "You should never swear," said Jay, "It shows signs  of weak vocal skills." "Welcome, to Chen's island!" Announced Clouse.
