I shut the door of the throne room and started up the stairs to my bed room. Getting there took longer than I thought it would.  I turned on the lights in my room, it was a total mess. How was I supposed to train in this mess? I'll get to cleaning my room later, I needed some air, so I stepped out onto the balcony and heard a strange noise, "whatdidufwha!!!!" I turned and saw Kai standing out on his balcony leaning on the side of the railing. What was he doing out here?  "What did you say?" I asked, Kai blushed red, almost as red as his ninja suit. "Whatdidufwhat a beautiful night?" He laughed nervously. I was confused, I've caught his eye, but how do I catch his trust? I decided on making level ground conversation. "What do you think happened to Karlof?" I wondered aloud, Kai says, "I'd wouldn't want to find out, If id known what've happened--" "you did what you had to do to stay in the tournament." I cut in, my watch beeped, I had twenty minutes to get out of this conversation,  clean my room, set a trap, and to get ready for the ceremony. But I needed to create some mystery so Kai wants to talk again so I throw out a wild card, "so you wanted to know my power--" but this time he interrupted me. "Brr it's sure is cold out here, better call it a night cya!!" And he backed out of his balcony and started to close the door. "I'm sorry to bother you" I said in a small voice, "not at all, good night!" And he shut the door.  Whatever, I thought as I walked back inside. I must agree to myself that was weird, but I couldn't think about that now, I spent three out of twenty minutes talking to Kai, and I couldn't waste anymore time, so I cleaned my room, checked the portrait of my father, I looked through the holes. A perfect spot to set a trap, I stepped back from the painting about sixteen steps, and started to train as always, I tried my new-found power of metal, to my surprise, I turned into a metal version of myself. amazed, I attempted to hold a fire ball in my hand, but turns out I couldn't use two powers at the same time. No biggie, I reversed the power and started to do twenty-five one handed push-ups and I stood up and held up a fist of fire, man it felt good. I felt as though I had a tall glass of refreshing water in the driest desert,  filled with so much power, I felt unstoppable. Then I felt a searing pain in my left shoulder. I went to my full length mirror and saw my tattoo was glowing, glistening with shades of purple, dark, dark reds. When I went to touch it it burned my finger. It has never done that before. I checked my watch. I had five minutes to get down, to the grand ceremony chamber, so I opened my dresser, and pulled out a dark red robe and pulled it over my head and went under the bed, opened the hatch, which leads right down to any area in my father's island. And ran down it. How does this tunnel reach every area in the island?  My father had Clouse put a spell on it so I could get around and spy on people. I entered the grand room and stood in the shadows. I saw the Anacondrai cultist chanting in an ancient language. As my father announced. "Bring in the loser!!" I watched as Eyezore and Zugu drag Karlof in front of my father and held him in place. Karlof protested, "what is this madness?!?!?!?! What are they chanting??" "What they're saying is, only one can remain. Use it or loose it!" my father yelled as he raised the staff of elements over Karlof, the room darkened a little and as I watched Karlof's power drained from him and my father held his staff triumphantly. "What happened to my metal?" Karlof questioned with a tone of disbelief. "Your metal? Oh it's my metal now!!!!!" Exclaimed father. "But now I will let you go." "Really?" Karlof said hopefully. "To the factory!!!!! Take him away!!!!!!" He yelled and Eyezor and Zugu dragged the struggling Karlof out of the room. One down, twelve to go,  I told myself. "He stole Karlof's power." I heard Jay whisper in the back of the room, I slowly move closer but still stay in the shadows. "And he took it with ice, Cole whispered. "That means he's taken Zane's too."  "This is really bad." Whispered Lloyd. They looked a mess the four of them,  they were wearing Anacondrai attire about four sizes too big. With what looked like chocolate tattoos on there faces. They looked ridiculous.  "Your face." whispered Kai, pointing at the others faces. "The chocolates melting." Now that had gotten everyone else's attention as the assembly of cultists turned to stare at the ninja in disguise. "Intruders!!!!!" My father boomed.  "Get them!!!! "They must not escape!!!!"  The ninja ran out the exit and the assembly of Anacondrai warriors ran after them. But something held me back from joining in.  So instead of doing what I came for I made my progress back up to my room. I took my dark red ceremony robe off, and slipped into my pajamas. I looked into my mirror at my tattoo. I've had it for so long, I don't remember a day when I didn't have it there. I was branded. Forever to serve as a cultist to the revival of the Acturus Generals from there prisonment in the cursed realm. There was no way for me to get it off. I've never been with people my age to talk to. I covered up my left shoulder, wishing to never see it again. I slumped over on my bed and stared at the ceiling, I heard a thumping noise muffled voices but I was too tired to care. I fell into a fitful sleep.
