I can't tell you how long I sat there on the floor sobbing into Louis' chest. All the while he kept stroking my hair and telling me that it was okay. I pulled away and looked up at him through teary eyes.

"Louis, you have to promise me something." I barely managed to choke out while holding back cries. Louis nodded as if telling me to go on. "You can't ever..." My words trailed off. I'd told him the entire nightmare, so I didn't have to finish.

"Of course, baby girl." Louis kissed forehead. "I promise." I nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of my mouth. "Let's go." Louis whispered, pulling me up by my elbows. He led me to the bathroom while holding my hand, gently tugging to urge me forward.

We entered the bathroom and Louis started digging through his drawers for something. I didn't dare look in the mirror. I didn't want to see what I looked like at all. I saw Louis pull out a hand towel and wet it under the faucet. He placed the towel in his one hand and rested his other hand on my hip to hold me in place.

"You're a mess, love." Louis said teasingly. I smiled and nodded slightly as he started to wipe my face with the towel. He was being so gentle. As if he was trying not to break me because I was delicate.

"Of course I'm a mess. My best friend bled to death in my twisted subconscious mind last night." I said with a small laugh at the end. Louis continued gently dragging the cloth over my cheeks. He gave a small laugh as well.

"You don't have to worry about that, darling." He said with one finally wipe. He balled the towel up on the counter and gave me a dry towel for my face. I wiped the water off my cheeks as Louis wiped his hands on his pants.

"Thanks." I looked down at my hands which were now wringing the towel into spirals.

"For what?" Louis asked me, raising one eyebrow. I glanced up at him than back at the towel in my hands. I shrugged.

"I don't know." I started, "it just felt like the right thing to say."
