When I woke up I heard voices talking in low registers around me. I felt that I was still snuggled up close to Harry.
"What do I do?" Harry asked the people standing behind me. I assumed it was the boys. I kept my eyes closed to hear what they were talking about.
"Just do it!" Josh's voice replied back. "You just have to do it quickly. Like ripping a band-aid off." I heard Harry sigh.
"I don't want to do that though. I don't wanna wake her." Harry shot back, sounding a tad annoyed by Josh's comment. I pulled Harry closer to me knowing that it would make him more stressed.
"Move her slowly and quietly." Louis said. "She's not a light sleeper, but she cant sleep through loud noises or quick movements either." He explained. Awe. He knows me so well.
"Or you could just ask me to move." I spoke up. I opened my eyes and looked up at Harry. "You could've just woken me."
"But I didn't want to." Harry said smiling down at me. "You looked so peaceful. But thank god you're awake now! My arm is asleep and I've been waiting for ages for you to wake up so I could move it." I laughed and sat up off of his arm.
"Better?" I asked. He nodded and started massaging his upper arm. I rolled forward over my feet onto the end part of the couch. "Zayn," I said sweetly, "will you make me some tea, pleeease." I gave Zayn a puppy dog face and started swinging my feet hanging off the edge of the couch.
"I don't know. Wouldn't you rather Lou do it?" Zayn said as he rubbed the back of his neck. I shook my head like a child refusing to eat his vegetables.
"No!" I pouted. "I want you to." I stuck out my bottom lip and let it start to quiver as if I was going to cry. Zayn folded his arms in protest but gave in shortly after.
"Fine. Fine! Okay. I'll make you tea." Zayn threw his hands up in defeat and retreated to the kitchen to make my tea. Just then I remembered Harry wanted to talk to me last night, but I was too busy with Louis to get the chance. I looked at the boys standing in front of me.
"Shoo." I said simply, motioning for them to leave the room. At first they hesitated but decided they'd go.
"I'm leaving because I want to, not because you told me to!" I heard Niall call over his shoulder as Liam ushered him out of the room. I sat up and looked at Harry. I smiled sweetly and tilted my head to the side.
"You wanted me?" I asked, keeping the smile on my face. "My puppy found your note last night." I turned my head so that it was straight again. "I wouldn't have seen it without him." I laughed and stood up off the couch. I pushed Harry up so he was sitting and sat down next to him.
"Oh..." Harry laughed. He looked down and I saw him begin rubbing the back of his neck and tapping his fingers on his leg. That's what he did when he was nervous. I shifted so I could see his face better.
"What's wrong?" I furrowed my eyebrows together and placed my hands on either side of his face, turning his head up. But he still refused to make eye contact with me. "Hey, look at me." I said putting myself in his line of sight. "What wrong?" I asked more demanding this time.
"It's uh...it's uhm..." Harry stuttered. "I just..." I sighed and dropped my hands to my lap.
"You can tell me, Harry. I'm a really good listener if you need to talk." I saw him nod and take a shaky breath in.
"I...I uhm over heard some people talking." Harry started.
"People? People as in who?" I butted in. I needed more details than just 'people'.
"Well...it was uh...it was management. Marco. Him in particular." I nodded, telling him to go on. "Before I go on, you have to promise me you won't tell anyone. And I mean NOBODY. Not even your puppy." I laughed at his last comment but composed myself because he seemed extremely serious.
"Okay I promise. I won't tell anyone." I crossed my heart. "Not even my puppy." I added playfully at the end. Harry smiled but let it drop from his face. He sighed and brought his hand up to his eye which now had a tear fighting to spill over.
"He was talking about Louis. He didn't even say his name though. He just called him 'the oldest' and uhm..." Harry paused and sighed again. "You have no idea how hard this is for me..." I laid a hand gently on his shoulder.
"Just tell me. It doesn't have to be hard." I smiled sheepishly at him. He sighed one last time.
"He wants Louis out of the band."
