Alone again

(Norman's POV)

I watched as Ashley looked disappointed at me before going into the house and got Mason's car seat and Natilla as Roxie walked out with Mason and placed him in his car seat in the car. Then I turned to Steven who just stood there looking at the blood on the asphalt their was two patterns.

"The droplets are from Mingus." Steven said before walking in the house to find Lauren.

I waited to see if Ashley was going to say goodbye to me but all she did was look at me before getting in on the driver side and pull out of the drive way. I didn't go in until I couldn't see the tail lights anymore.

When I went in Lauren was trying to clean up the blood in the floor that lead to the front door. I shook my head and sat on the bottom step and wait for Ashley to return back home. Which wasn't long since I knew where the Bakery was. It took about 15 minutes. I stood as Lauren and Steven looked at the door as Roxie and Ashley walked in.

"Go to your room as we talked about Roxie." Ashley ordered in a quiet tone. "Take Mason with you please." She added as Roxie took Mason into her arms before walking upstairs to their room. Once Roxie was gone, Ashley looked at Lauren and Steven and nodded to them.

"Bye Norman we will talk to you later." Lauren said almost in a whisper.

"Alright you two." I said as they walked out the door and got into the jeep.

"I'll be back." Was the only words Ashley said she walked out the door.

When Ashley left it wasn't long till Roxie came downstairs and look at me. I could tell she was holding something in her hand but didn't know what it was until she handed it to me. I opened up my hand and seen that it was Mingus's necklace she got for him for Christmas. I closed my eyes and shook my head.

"I'm sorry Roxie." I said as she shook her head.

"It's not me you should be saying sorry to...but I don't think sorry is going to keep us here." Roxie cried as she turned her head to hear Ashley pull up in the yard before heading upstairs.

The last 10 words that she said hit me hard letting me know Ashley was leaving me. I thought to myself as a tear escaped from my eyes as she walked in. She was crying to when she walked up to me.

"Don't do this....please." I said looking at her.

"Why stay when I mean so little to you?" Ashley asked. "We had everything I thought but it was only a dream a fucked up dream fucked up fairy tale some sick and twisted dream I couldn't wake up from till it was to late." She added jerking away from me.

"It's not...this is real...my love for you for Mason for Roxie is real." I said as she looked at me as if she was going to get sick.

"For me, for Mason, for Roxie....WHAT ABOUT YOUR SON NORMAN! What about the love for him?" Ashley yelled. "When we got Married even before we got Married he was mine, he called me Mom and I called him my Son, I will beat her ass again if it came down to it....but now it don't matter does it, nothing matter's anymore I see what type of man you are to keep some crazed bitch happy to let some crazed bitch hit our son and take him....News flash love when I said I do I married the family not just to you....but you don't see it that way do you?" Ashley asked.

"Yes and no." I said."Mingus is Helena's." I added closing my eyes.

"He's her's when she wants him when she wants to cause trouble but when she can't control him when she don't want him around...WHERE THE FUCK DOES HE GO NORMAN WHERE?" Ashley asked.

"Here." I said.

"Where I didn't hear you grow a fucking pair of balls and speak up." Ashley said as I glared up at her.
