It felt good being back from the hospital. Life was back to normal again. My bruises were finally clearing up and my attitude was more positive. I still had my cast on my wrist, but that's the least of my worries.
Speaking of worries, Dylan was back in jail for lots of offenses. Five more years should do him good. It made me happy knowing that I was safe once again.
Plus, Niall was helping me get back on my feet also. Ever since he asked my parents if he could date me, he's allowed to come to my house. My parents absolutely adore him. It's nice not having to hide a boyfriend from the family. My brother, Nick, loves Niall. He told me that Niall was his favorite of boys that I brought home. They are very close nowadays.
I sat down on my comfy couch and wrapped myself in a blanket. It was 3 in the afternoon, but I didn't care. I was home alone. My parents were at work and my brother is sleeping over at a friend's house. They came and picked him up an hour ago.
I curled up in a ball and flipped through the tv guide. Of course. Nothing good was on.
Eh. No biggie. I can just go find a movie.
I really didn't want to move from my spot, but I really didn't want to watch reruns of 'Phineas and Ferb' all day... So I had no choice. I groaned in annoyance as I lifted myself off the couch. I walked over to the movie cabinet and searched through the movie selections.
"Barbie? No."
Thomas the Train? Definitely not."
"Ugh.Why do we have so many kid movies?" I mumbled to myself. I moved towards the adult section. In our family you have to be at least 13 to watch the adult movies. So Nick always pitches a fit about it.
"Aha. 'This Means War'." I grabbed the movie case and took the disk out. I pressed the eject button on the DVD player. Replacing my movie for the old one, I pressed play. While putting the old disc back in the cabinet, the screen started to play commercials. I took advantage of this time to go make some popcorn.
I already knew that I was going to be lazy for the rest of the day. Why not enjoy it with a little popcorn?
As the kernels started popping in the microwave, the doorbell rang.
"Hold on!" I shouted across the house. I smiled knowing Niall was back again. I quickly pulled the popcorn out and put it in a big bowl. Bringing the bowl with me, I opened the door.
I was surprised a little bit because it wasn't Niall at the door, but Perrie.
"Hey Kris. Oh! Did I interrupt something?" She said.
"No! Of course not. Want to come in?" I said holding the door for her.
"I just started 'This Means War' if you want to join me." I added.
"OMG! That's my favorite movie! Do you mind?" She asked not wanting to intrude.
"You're always welcome here Perrie!" I laughed and let her in. She knew her way around my house from all the sleepovers we used to have. She sat down on the couch, and I placed the bowl of popcorn next to her.
"I'll get you a blanket." I smiled and went upstairs. I ran into the laundry room and grabbed my fluffy pink blanket.
I came back down and handed it to her. I hit the play button on the title screen and sat myself on the couch next to her.

We spent the next hour or so talking about the movie and eating popcorn. It was always fun to have her over because she was a great movie buddy.
"Okay. So would you pick Chris Pine or Tom Hardy?" Perrie asked as she threw a piece of popcorn up in the air.
"Chris Pine, no doubt." I answered catching it in my mouth.
"What about you?" I continued.
"Tom Hardy." She laughed.
"Um. Have you seen Chris Pine? He's a god!" I said.
"I don't know. He gives me the creeps. Hey! Tom Hardy is pretty cute too!" She said defending her opinion.
"Whatever." I laughed while throwing a piece of popcorn in her direction.
"He's not as cute as Zayn though." She said in a 'as a matter of fact' tone. At the sound of his name, I remembered the odd room that I got dressed in. Pictures of the women's clothes flashed in my mind.
I suddenly felt a wave guilt flush over me. I twiddled my thumbs trying to decide whether to tell Perrie. I didn't want to break her heart.. But she needed to know. It would be even worse if this went on any longer.
"Perrie." I said feeling terrible about what I needed to say.
"What's up?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Umm. This is kind of hard to say. But you really need to know."
"What is it?" Perrie's face softened as she waited for my answer.
"I think Zayn is cheating on- you. "I responded dragging out 'you'.
"What? How do you know?" She said sadly. I could see her eyes getting watery. She was trying to hold it back.
"Well. At your party, Dani let me change in one of Zayn's rooms upstairs." I started.
"And?" She braced herself for the worst part.
"Well. She took me into a room with purple wallpaper and drawers full of women's clothes. And me being me, snooped around. None of them were your size." I confessed quickly. I tried to rip off the bandaid quick not painfully and slowly.
"Wait. You mean his Mom's room?" She looked at me in confusion.
"His mom's- Aw man! I'm so sorry." I covered my face with my hands. How could I be so stupid. Of course it was his mom's room!
"I'm so stupid! I never even thought of that!" I added. She wiped her red face as tears began to rush out.
"Haha! Wow Kris. Yes Zayn is cheating on me with his mom." She teased and lightly hit my arm.
"I'm so sorry. No no. Don't cry!" I said awkwardly trying to comfort her.
"No! this is so funny that I'm crying!" Perrie smiled putting a piece of popcorn in her mouth.
"It's okay. I'm glad to know you would tell me something like that though. You're a good friend" she added.
"I try." I stuck my tongue out at her.
"You jump to conclusions to easily." She giggled.
"Thanks for pointing that out. I really needed that." I growled sarcastically.

The credits appeared on the screen as the movie came to an end.
"Ah. I love that movie." Perrie interrupted the silence.
"Me too. What do you want to do now?" I asked.
"I feel like going for a swim." She answered.
"That's rather random." I laughed.
"It's just what I feel like." She said.
"Well you can go swimming.." I said motioning to the cast on my wrist.
"Oh. Well you can tan while I swim." She suggested.
"Really." I looked at her with an angry face.
"Yes. I'm borrowing a swimsuit." She got up from the couch and ran upstairs.
"Well I guess this isn't the lazy day that I planned." I said to myself before following Perrie upstairs to get dressed.
