I was inspired by the result I got on a facebook quiz to write this last entry..

Here's what I got as well as the picture that was attached:

"Your mask is strength. You try hard to fend for yourself. You do not let others do things for you. You often need to be in control of a situation, even if you can't handle it alone. You are always putting on a front, even if you don't feel strong at all. You don't let others see you when you're vulnerable, because you barely let your self be. Despite your flaws of always trying to act strong, you are a strong person, with strong character that can do anything you put your mind to. A lot of the times you really don't need anyone, and are perfectly capable on your own. However, there are times you find yourself wanting to let someone in but are not really sure how to. "

What is strength?

The ability to overcome anything & anyone that poses as a threat

To your status, your cred?

No, I think it's more than that

It's a mask to hide who you truly are instead

Because, face it, nobody wants to see the little failure you truly are

It's not easy to console those who are hurting, lonely, and depressed

But its second-nature too many to talk shit about the best

So wear that mask like it's a crown of honor

Smile into every face you past, from mother to daughter

And wait until you're back home in your room

To cry about the reality that sometimes consumes

Your whole body, reminding you of who you truly are

And remind yourself that you're worth even less than your neighbor's shitty car

Then wash the running mascara off your face

And go back into that world, and act like you run the damn place

'Cause that's what strength is truly about sweetie.
