The next day passed quietly after my exams had finished. Well sort of; everyone was talking nonstop about the dance tomorrow. I don't see the big deal, I mean yeah it would be fun to go but it wouldn't be fun because I don't have anyone to go with, and more importantly, I don't have my squad.

School finished finally and so did the terms/semester. Thanks the Gods! I walked home as usual and arrived to an empty house. You may be wondering where my family are? Well they are in England to spend the holiday period with are relatives in the west of England. I think it's pretty cool. I didn't want to see them anyway; just more people to avoid. So I have a free house for myself and the girls. My mum trusts us not to wreck the house- at New Years, no promises. She left me enough money for two weeks and left my presents in the wardrobe in her room. You never know, I could find Narnia. I wish. Prince Caspian is....- anyway we aren't allowed in Sean's room or mess with his games. We have to keep the house clean and above all no 'naughtiness' with boys. Her words not mine. I rolled my eyes so hard at that statement. Like that would ever happen but with the girls here, anything is possible.

I basically spent to rest of the night cleaning the house and getting everything ready for when they arrived tomorrow. I'm so excited. While I'm doing sorting out the house, I'm blasting music through the house. It's old pop music so i'm basically cleaning, dancing and singing all at one. Can life get more fun than this? We'll see.

The next morning, I wake up and put my hair in a messy high ponytail. I stumble downstairs still sleepy and go into the kitchen. As I'm making a cup of tea and breakfast, my mind races about the girls arriving today.

As I'm about to eat my toasted chicken sandwich I hear the song 'Burn' by Ellie Goulding playing upstairs. Shit my phones ringing. I let it upstairs causing my legs to burn and ache. Fuck I'm unhealthy. I reach my phone just in time and accept the call without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello." I'm still gasping for breath.

"Hey Grandma." It's Hope.

"Hey!" I screech.

"Okay, calm down. There's no need to kill my eardrums."

"Sorry. What's up? Where are you guys?"

"I'm just calling to say that we are on the plane not and will be in California by 4 o'clock."

"Yay!" I'll meet you guys at the gate. What flight is it?"

"221B to California."

"Seriously? 221B?" It's so Sherlock.

"Yep. Stephanie got the reference too." She laughed.

"I bet. I guess I'll see you at the airport later."

"Yeah see you then."

"See ya. Bye Minion."

She laughs, "Laters Grandma." And she hangs up.

They are nearly here. I start jumping around like a crazy person until I hear my stomach rumble. I need food! I went to eat my breakfast and spent the rest if the day staring at the clock every few seconds.

I spent hours just trying to pass the time. I got dressed and read more Percy Jackson for hours. I'm on the next series now- Heroes of Olympus. Leo Valdez is my new best friend. Well I would love him to be if he was real.

I got lost in the book and laughed constantly at Leo's comments, especially in the chapters in his perspective. When I looked up at the clock, I remembered I don't know the guys' arrival time. I check the local airport website on my laptop and saw their plane landing time. 3pm. I looked at the clock and jumped to my feet as I saw it was 2:15pm. I still had a bit of time but I don't know how long it will take me to get there. I grab my mum's car keys that she trusted me with now I have my license and ran for the door, picking up my converses, slipping them on and leaving.
