Chapter 9

27th December

The boys are coming over today.

At the moment us girls are sitting in the living watching The Lion King, waiting for the guys to arrive, which should be any minute now. We were all singing Hakuna Matata- squad song alert (well one of them anyway). Simba's voice is a dream.

There was a knock on the door during "can you feel the love"- great moment to interrupt. Idiots.

I open the door to be greeted by someone lips on mine. Luke. He pulls away, leaving me a little breathless. "Hey" He smiles down at me. Damn the fucking height difference. Oh the pains of being short *wipes away a tear*

"Hey Luke. Hey guys, come on in, we're in the living room but you interrupted The Lion King so you owe me for missing it." I poke Luke in his chest. I allow the guys in, hugging each of them. They are all carrying a duffle bag each. Where are they going to stay? That's a good question... oh well; we'll figure it out later.

Luke is still standing in the hallway with me. He wraps his arms around me, "Thank you for letting us stay. You saved me from the nightmare that is 'family time'".

I chuckle and roll my eyes. "I'm lucky I guess. All I have are the girls, no family this Christmas. I've never been happier." By this point we were in the living room where Luke sat in the only available chair, the love seat and pulled me down the sit on his lap.

The rest of the room must have heard our conversation as Megan says, "Paige, this is what it will be like when we move in together in England. It's going to be fun." I forgot about that for a moment.

"Oh yeah, you guys leave in six days and" I turn around to look at Luke, "I'm leaving in seven months." I look down at my lap "I forgot." I don't want to leave Luke. England may be my home but maybe going back to too many bad memories isn't something I should do. I could just move out. No, I can't change my plans just for a guy I'm not even dating. I'm not that stupid.

"Paige" Luke's grip around my waist tightens, "We still have six days left with the girls and seven months left with you. Let's focus on the now, yeah. Come on, we still need to celebrate our own Christmas, which reminds me that I got you a present."

"You did?" I ask my eyes wide. He nods. I laugh slightly, "I got you one too." His expression brightens and stands up to get my present from his bag.

Calum and Michael clear their throats, "Michael and I have presents to give as well, to remember us by." Calum says, not quite meeting Kirstyn's eye and blushing slightly. "Can you feel the love tonight?" I sing inside my head and giggle at my thoughts.

Luke sat back down, with me on his lap just as Michael and Calum went to get their presents.

I lean back against Luke's chest and whisper in his ear, "What did you get me?" My lips grazing against his neck (dawn height difference), which made him shiver slightly. I made Luke shiver. Ten points to Gryffindor!

He cleared his throat, making me grin, and whispered back, "You'll find out soon enough."

We turned our attention to the others; Calum gave his present to Kirstyn. When she opened the gift, she found a Batman Snapback.

"Oh yeah. That's what I'm talking about." She exclaimed, making everyone laugh. The snapback hung a little too low on her head when she put it on; she jumped up and hugged Calum, "Thank you, Cal!" She screeched, probably causing him to go deaf. Calum didn't seem to mind though, in fact, I think I saw him turn red. He likes her. Awww! #Calstyn
