Chapter 5: Survival?

"Sans?" Edmund says to his friend.  "What?" Sans says looking into the cannon. "L-Leon had the bomb" Edmund says.  "Son of a bi-" Sans says being interrupted by a Leon's voice.  "Friends, friends!" a voice says coming from the bag.  "What in the name of Virgin Mary" Says sans as he digs through his bag.  "Well I'll be a pickled pig" Sans says pulling out a small tablet with a video of Leon.  Edmund comes closer to Sans and the raptor pops out of Sans's pocket.  "Hello friends, If you are receiving this I am probably dead and or missing"  Leon says.  "Look here" He continues sliding a whiteboard with a detailed drawing of the island on the screen.  "I probably fell in a cannon or shot myself, knowing Sans, I probably shot myself" Leon says laughing.  "Listen here now" Leon says continuing his explanation.  "Jump in this cannon" Leon says pointing at a location on his whiteboard.  "There is a safety net at the bottom, after some clumsy Ankylosaurus's fell in I had one installed"  Leon says continuing his remarks.  "I will assume you have the courage to do so, and I'm talking to you Edmund.  There is a tunnel system at the bottom." Leon jumps up as he realizes something.  "Ah yes the tunnels are infested with a very large and angry group of-"  The video crackles on and off and the tablet shuts off.  "OF WHAT" Edmund says worriedly.  "That's what I call, a cliff hanger!" Sans says grinning.  "C'mon man.  That's way toooo soon" Edmund says staring at the ground.

After 40 minutes of contemplating they decide to jump.  "Wait!" Edmund says looking at Sans.  "What is it know?" Sans says looking over his shoulder.  "Aren't you gonna name the raptor?" Edmund asks Sans.  "Uhh, sure.  Why not?"  Sans says in response.  Sans opens his shirt pocket and looks at the raptor inside.  "Hey buddy, lets give you a name"  Sans says in a fragile voice.  "How about End?" Sans asks the creature.   The raptor gives a screech of joy and licks Sans's nose.  "You like that buddy?" Sans asks the small excited creature.  "Alright, lets jump!" Edmund says running towards the cannon.  "Hold tight little buddy" Sans says petting the little creature.  Sans and Edmund run towards the cliff and jump into the air.  "I regret thiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssss" says Edmund all the way down.  After a free fall they hit the net.  "Holy crap" Sans says catching his breath.  "We made it" He says looking in his shirt pocket to check on End.  "You OK, buddy?" the raptor screeches with joy.  After they crawl out of the net they see a tunnel system, the door slammed shut and a broken window.  "This way?" Sans says pointing through the glass shards.  "Why not" Edmund says.  Sans kicks the door open to the long dark tunnels.  The lights flicker on as if someone breathed life into the tunnel.  "What was that?" Edmund asks.  "The backup power I bet" Sans says walking towards the darkness ahead.  After they walk and walk they see a pair of glasses in the center of the tunnel.  "Isn't that the pair Leon wears"  Edmund asks running up to the spectacles.  "Yeah, yeah it is" answers Sans.  After a minute of grieving there is a bang on the side door.  "What was that?!" Edmund yells.  "I don't know, but let's not stick around to see-" The door flies open and a raptor lands in front of them.  "What the?!" Yells Sans.  "lucertola debole" (Weak Lizard)Says a voice out of the dark room.  The raptor jumps up and screeches at the darkness in the room. " Patetico"(Pathetic) Says the darkness.  The raptor pounces in the darkness.

"What the hell is going on?!" Sans says backing up to the wall.  "Your guess is as good as mine" Edmund says in response.  "You think I am afraid of death, afraid of darkness, afraid of YOU!" the darkness screeches in pain.  "Is that Leon?!" Sans says looking at Edmund.  "I think so" Edmund says shaking his head.  the darkness says with a cold expression "Muori"(Die).  The darkness gives a screech and a bone cracking noise.  Leon walks out calmly to his spectacles.  "I hate it when my glasses get dirty" Leon says picking up his glasses and wiping them off.  After Leon puts his glasses on he looks over at the wall to see his amazed and confused friends.  "Ciao" Leon says with a smile.  "HOW'D YOU KILL ONE OF, WAIT, HOW ARE, OK, ONE MOMENT, I NEED TO PROCESS THIS" Sans yells.  "Yes, what is it?" Leon says.  "YOU'RE ALIVE!" Edmund interrupts them.  'Why of course I am" Leon says fixing his tie.  Sans takes a huge drink of his flask.  "So wait, you planned this?!" Sans says putting his flask away.  "Up to the point of slipping into the cannon, yes"  Leon says looking at his attire.  "I'd punch you but, you just killed a raptor with your bare hands" Sans says looking at Leon.  

"Haha. vero, vero" (True, True).  "In the video you said these tunnels had a very large and angry group of what?" Edmund asks.  "Raptors, a very angry of and large amount of raptors, the alpha is around here somewhere" Leon says calmly.  "This is the most unsafe place on the island, we have to deal with raptors, in a confined space"  Leon says.  "Yeah, how's the baby raptor?" Leon asks Sans.  "Oh you mean End?" Sans says scooping up the small raptor.  End screeches with absolute joy at the sight of Leon.  "I'm the alpha apparently" Leon says questionably.  "Leon gives a screech and moves closer to End.  End licks his cheek and bows his head.  "Oh, I am I guess"  Leon says petting End.  "It makes sense, you lead our little group" Says Edmund.  "Oh yeah" says Sans.  After they walk around, they find a secure area to set up a camp, a locked room with no windows and a vending machine.  "I think we have a good setup here"  Says Leon as he turns on a lantern.  The group sets their sleeping bags and End crawls up to Sans and they all have a quiet night.  A bit too quiet....
