Chapter 7: Leon, The New Alpha?

The alpha pounces on Leon.  Leon moves slightly to the left.  "Let's end this dance" Leon says preparing for the next attack.  The alpha runs towards Leon gets ready to pounce.  Leon kicks the creature as hard as he can, causing the alpha to fly into the wall.  The alpha squirms in pain trying to get back up.  Leon walks up to the alpha, still  squirming and screeching for mercy, Leon stomps on its head.  "Weak, weak, weak, weak, weak LIZARD" Leon says stopping its head in and killing the alpha. Leon stomps his foot and yells a shout of victory  "you're name is Otis" he says pointing to the omega. "And yours is Patrick" he says pointing to the beta.  "Follow me to your new pack" The omega and beta follow their new alpha.  Leon swings open the doors.  "I'mmmmm backkkk" Leon says with the raptors behind him.  "LEON LOOK OUT" Sans says. O and P spin around and look for danger.  "What the-" Sans says before he is interrupted by Leon.  "I can explain, I killed the alpha, I am the alpha.  It's kinda self-explanatory really"  Leon continues his statements.  "We will treat them much better than the old alpha did"  Leon scratches his raptors behind their heads.  End looks up out of Sans's shirt and tilts his head.  End starts communicating with O and P, the sound of his screeches are wonderful, speaking greatly of Leon's strength, leadership and knowledge.  O, P and End walk around each other and communicate.  "Alright lets move out!" Leon says.  Sans, Edmund, O and P follow as he leads them to their destination.

After about 6 hours of walking they can see their target in sight.  "Is that it?" Sans says pointing ahead.  "Sure is" Leon says drinking from a bottle of water.  "Thank god!" Edmund says letting his arms fall limp.  "You think it's still in good condition?" Sans says looking at the raptors ahead.  "Should be, unless raptors eat Twinkies, Ding-Dongs, crisps and soft drinks?  Then I think we're alright" Leon says walking closer to their objective.  "What about meat?" Sans says checking on End.  "About a 3 years of dehydrated fish, beef and chicken" Leon says recalling his memory.  "There are 3 safe rooms, one in the tunnels, 1 bunker to the east of the island and 1 bunker to the west of the island" Leon says trying to remember.  "Is this it?" Sans says approaching a metal door.  "That'll be it" Leon says nodding his head.  Leon goes to a control panel and enters a code, the door slides open and lights flicker on.   "Welcome!" Leon says opening his arms.  The raptors walk in and look around the area, Leon unpacks a box of packaged meat.  "Here ya go" Leon says throwing two big bags of jerky at O and P.  O and P roar with joy and dig in, Sans grabs a bag and starts feeding End.  "Eat up buddy" Sans says handing some jerky over to End.  "Lets rest up a bit" Leon says to the group.  Leon sets his sleeping bag down and laying down.  O and P go over and cuddle up next to him,  Sans opens his shirt pocket and looks at End inside.  "Hey buddy, are you ready for bed?" Sans says setting his sleeping bag and.  End screeches with joy and curls up into a ball next to Sans.  "I guess, I'll just sleep over here" Edmund says putting his sleeping bag down next to the heater. 

The next morning everyone slept in, Leon, Edmund, Sans, End, O and P.  It was the calmest night they had ever had on the island.  Leon wakes up slowly and sits up, O and P rise slowly and stretch.  "All of you! Up! we got work to do!" Leon says hitting the ground with his hand.  "What do we have to do?" Edmund says with his face in his pillow.  "Fortify the base, set traps, we don't want to let dilos or raptors to get near this place" Leon says to his grumpy companion.  "Alright, alright" Edmund says slowly sitting up.  "SANS WAKE UP!" Leon says shouting in the room.  "No! Me and End or tired!" Sans says turning his back to Leon.  O and P sprint over and push Sans back over facing Leon.  "Listen, we fortify the base, understood?" Leon says with his hand up in a fist, keeping the raptors from devouring Sans.  "Yeah, yeah alright" Sans says looking at O and P.  After the gang get up and fortify the base, there is a screech of pain around the corner where Edmund is.  "Why is it always me, Edmund jump down the crevasse, Edmund don't eat all the Twinkies, Edmund, Edmund, Edmund" He says quoting Leon and Sans.  "Whats over here anyway" He says peeking around the corner.  Around the corner there is a young wounded Dilophosaurus and 3 rival raptors.  Edmund looks at the small lizard and it reminded him of a young him,  scared, alone and beaten to near death.  

Edmund swing around the corner and punches one of the raptors in the nose.  "Leave him ALONE!" He says pushing the raptor away.  The raptor falls into one of the traps they set earlier before and breaks it's leg, it screeches a terrible screech of pain.  The Dilophosaurus spits in the other raptors eyes, and Edmund punches the raptor into another trap, breaking its leg.  All the raptors run and limp away from Sans.  "I scared them away!  How did I do that!"  He says watching the raptors run away.  Leon quietly walks away from Edmund's back.  "Hey, buddy?" Edmund says kneeling and picking up the Dilophosaurus.  "I'm going to call you Dill, do you like that name?" The Dilophosaurus screeches with joy and curls into a ball.  "Leon better let me keep you, I am not letting you go back out there" He says walking back to base.  "Hey Leon, I found a baby Dilophosaurus! Can I-" Edmund us interrupted by Leon. "You can keep Dill, now go feed him up" Leon says waving Edmund away.  "How did you kn- Yes sir!" Edmund says running into the safe room.
