Dan awoke in an unusual place. His surroundings were unfamiliar, but at the same time completely recognisable. He felt he knew but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"Phil?" Dan asked weakly, peering around himself.

"Gah!" His hands flew to his pounding head. However the feeling soon faded and removed them.

He could feel an odd sensation and placed his hand on the side of his temple. His bones were shifting and his skin was literally crawling.

Suddenly he remembered.

"I shot myself," Dan said disbelievingly. "I'm dead."

He began to grow worried. Where am I?

"Phil?!" He said louder this time. He must be here too.

Things began to come into view for Dan. He saw that he floating on a puffy white cloud. Dan looked down, but all he saw was more clouds with more people, some sleeping others up and alert.

Eventually, the clouds started to sink and they landed on a very large island.

Full of dead people.

They were let off at a bridge where many people were standing. The closest thing Dan could think to compare it to was an airport.

He saw people reuniting with loved ones. Parents jumping off the cloud and running to their children and vice versa. There were too many people to count.

Dan looked over all their heads, since he was one of the tallest. Most of the people here were young, which is odd, Dan thought.

"Phil?" He called again.

A head emerged from the group and Dan knew it was him.

"Phil!" Dan ran to him and practically tackled him to the ground.

"Dan!" Phil exclaimed.

They were already crying, holding each other tightly in fear they'd lose the other again.

"I'm sorry," Dan sobbed. "I love you. I love you so much."

"Shh, you didn't do anything wrong Dan. I love you too," he kissed him lovingly and didn't pull away until it was necessary.

"Where are we?" Dan asked finally once they had collected themselves.

"I don't know," Phil admitted. "I've been waiting here, for you."

"How'd you know I was coming?"

"You're never gonna believe this. There's a bloody list! See," he pointed. "It names off all the new arrivals and I just happened to see your name when I got here."

Dan chuckled and it soon turned into his full howling laughter, the one that made his sides ached and his eyes brighten.

"What's so funny?" Phil questioned amused.

Dan shrugged, still smiling. "I love you," he said again.

Phil grinned. "I love you too baby. Now," he took Dan's hand and intertwined their fingers and giving him one more peck on the lips. "Let's go see what this place holds for us."
