Puella Magi Madoka Magica : Rebirth

The story so far...

A/N : Hello guys, I know it's been one month plus since I last updated, and for that, I apologise. I've been busy with studies, and my final exams are coming in two months, so I haven't had much time to write :( To those who're still reading this, you have my utmost gratitude ^^
I guessed that some people would have forgotten the storyline, since it takes me an abominable time to update (I'm sorry! DX), so, I'll just do a recap of what has happened so far. Also, this shortened version will perhaps explain some things that were maybe not as obvious in the main story. I've separated the storyline into arcs (there are 2 so far) to make things easier to understand. I recommend you to try not to skip this, so that the story will make mores sense to you after reading this.

1. MEMORIES OF A PAST LIFE ARC

In the New World that Homura Akemi has created, Madoka Kaname has lived a normal life for six months, enjoying the company of her friends and being as normal as any girl could be. However, one night, after watching the news about a conflagration downtown, she began to develop a funny feeling that she somehow knew what was behind it, and that she was someone more than just normal old Madoka.

The next day in class, two new transfer students from Australia arrived. They were Luna and Estella Queen, twins. When school had ended, Sayaka voiced her displeasure about the twins, while Madoka chatted with Hitomi about last night's news. They were rudely cut short by Homura, who warned Madoka not to poke her nose into things like these.

Hitomi left for a lesson, and Sayaka, Kyoko and Madoka went to look for Mami, who then invited them over to her apartment tonight to have a tasting session for her and Nagisa's cooking night. Kirika Kure, a classmate of Mami's, felt lonely as she watched the foursome enjoying themselves. She bumped into the twins, and immediately felt a kinship with them, feeling secretly proud that they admired her.

Later that evening, a few events took place. Kirika and Oriko Mikuni, best friends, went out for dinner and met the twins coincidentally, where they got to know each other more. At the same time, Mami and gang were congregated at her apartment for dinner. Homura was tailing Madoka, and happened to be outside the apartment as a Witch barrier started to form around it.

Homura engaged the Witch and managed to kill it, but during the assault, Madoka had suddenly remembered her Goddess self, and was halfway to transforming, to which Mami, Nagisa and Sayaka witnessed. Kyoko and Nagisa didn't see it as they had been separated from the group in the confusion. Madoka was stopped by Homura in time, and Homura promptly proceeded to erase everyone's memory of the Witch, and repaired whatever damage the Witch had done to the building. Everyone thought they had experience a fire drill, and went back without even suspecting that the Demon had tampered with their memories.

At that time, after Kirika, Oriko and the twins had finished their dinner, Oriko was seized by a vision, where she suddenly remembered their past as Puella Magi. The revelation scared them, and all too soon, Oriko had yet another vision that foretold the destruction of Madoka Kaname at the hands of Homura Akemi. She told the others that the duo had looked different and godly, and that something large and powerful may be going on. They hypothesised that a mysterious force was keeping their Puella Magi memories locked away. Before they could make any more sense of this, Oriko foresaw an attack by Wraiths, and had to dispatch them before they attacked other people. There, they met a new type of Wraith, the Brocken-Wraith. The four fought the monsters and killed them all in perfect sync, through teamwork. They were about to retire home when Homura stopped them and threatened them with amnesia, ignorance or death, to which she received angry outbursts from the foursome. Homura then cursed their Soul Gems to corrupt three times faster than the normal rate, after they chose ignorance. She didn't explain her actions, but her words now made the girls think that Homura was someone very dangerous.
