(30) Beating Up and Truth

School school school... Still hate it, but had to go. I tried to convince my mom to let me stay home, but she insisted on me going to school, so here I am.

I walked to my locker, still really tired, and opened my locker. Suddenly Maia and Reese were running towards me. "Liv!!" They yelled. I turned to them "What is now?" I asked a little annoyed. "Don't mean to alarm you, but-" Maia started, but then was interrupted by Reese "Ryder and Fabian are beating each other up!!" She yelled. My eyes widen "WHAT?!" I yelled and slammed the locker close and hurried after Reese and Maia.

Short time later we arrived at the spot and I started fighting myself to the front. Luke, Toby and Dustin were already trying to break them apart. Thomas was also standing there, but let's face it, he is weak and not sporty at all. I handed him my bag, then tried to break them apart and thanks to boxing I had enough strength to hold Fabian back. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!?" I yelled and looked from Fabian to Ryder and back to Fabian and back to Ryder.

"He was making out with Tiffany!!" Ryder yelled and then I saw the redhead of Tiffany. "Is that true!?" I asked and Fabian just looked down. He always does that when he's uncomfortable. "You and me are over!!" I yelled and ran off crying. Or at least I tried, but Tiffany held me back "I will always take what's your's Joey" Tiffany said with her evil smirk. I freed my arm and ran off. I ran and ran until I arrived in a corner and sat down and cried. A short time later some one came and kneed down in front of me and put his hand on my knee. I looked a up.

It was Ryder.

"I'm so sorry" He said, but I didn't wanna hear it. I just wrapped my arms around his neck and cried into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tight. A few minutes later I backed away and he got up and helped me up. He held out his hand. It didn't take me long, then I took it. He held my hand tight.

"Wanna go somewhere?" He asked and I nod. First I went to the girl's bathroom and fixed my make up, then Ryder and I went to the spot where Fabian usually is. I let go of Ryder's hand and walked towards Fabian "You forgot something" I said fake smiling and then slapped him with all my strength. "You deserve that!!" I said, then turned around and walked back to Ryder, grabbed his hand and we walked off and out of school.

We went to a little lake nearby and sat down on the ground. We sat there quietly for a while. Then he spoke up "I heard what Tiffany said to you. Why did she call you Joey?" He asked and I was shocked, but then I took a deep breath and looked at him "Because that's my first name" I said and took a break "Olivia is my second name. Joey is my real first name" I told him. It wasn't easy, but I was glad the secret was out.

He was a little shocked, but not as shocked as I was just a few seconds ago, I think. "Joey Copeland?" He asked again and I nod. He was still progressing everything.

"But your name is Olivia" He said. I sighed and then got out my ID and handed it to him. "Joey Olivia Copeland" He read out loud. I took my ID back and put it away. "I'm so stupid" He said and I put my hand on his shoulder "You are not! I did everything possible so you won't find out. Also mom doesn't know that you are my first love" I said and hope it would calm him down, which didn't work as hoped.

"What do we do now?" He asked after a while of silence. "It wasn't easy, but I forgive you for the party fiasco. If you promise to never do that again!" I said and he nod "I need to hear the word Ryder!" I told him. "I swear I will never do that again!! I hate myself for doing it. I already hated myself after I put it in and before I could do something, Fabian had already given your some of it. After that happened, I made it my job to make sure you are save at all time" He said and took my hand.

I looked into his eyes "Then I'll forgive you" I said and gave him a small smile. "What does that make us?" He asked again. "Well, you still have Reese.. So I don't know what we can be" I answered. "That with Reese isn't real. I really wanted to like her, but there was always you. When I met you back when we were kids, you moved into my brain and refused to leave" He said and I laughed.

I didn't think long, then I kissed him.

We kissed for a while until we pulled apart again. "Need to keep this undercover right?" He asked and I nod. "Mom and Morgan would freak when they would find out about us being all lovely dovely couplely" I said and he nod understanding. "Make out sessions in the bathroom?" He asked with a smirk and I hit him in the chest playfully "Don't take it too far Harding!" I said and he laughed. "Of course we can make out in each of our rooms, we just have to be careful and quiet!" I said and started playing with his hand.

We stayed at the lake until it was time to go home, which was at 3 PM, when school was over.

Same time at the local cafe

"Happy now?" I asked the girl that was sitting opposite me at a table in our local cafe. "Yes, you really helped me. Finally is this Copeland girl away from Fabian. She doesn't deserve to be with a Fitzgerald. If she is any like her brother, she has cheated on him already" The girl said. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" I said and took a sip from my coffee. "That little Copeland girl deserves everything she gets. She always being the perfect little girl and having a huge family, while I'm stuck with my grandparents" I added. "Well, you have my number and we will talk about the next step over the phone, but now I gotta leave before anyone sees us together" The girl said, got up, paid and left the cafe, while I stayed and drank the rest of my coffee, while playing on my phone.
