(35) Girl's Day Out

Weeks later I was laying in my bed. I was reading a book when suddenly I felt bad. I put the book down, jumped up and ran to the bathroom, which was locked. I banged against the door until someone finally opened the door. I rushed in and to the toilet and threw up.

"Are you okay?" Dustin asked and I got back up and flashed the toilet, then went to wash my mouth. "Yeah yeah, I'm great! I just ate something wrong" I said and hurried back out of the bathroom and back into my room.

Just a short time later Dustin followed me and closed the door. "Tell me what's going on!" He demanded. "I'm fine! I just ate something wrong. Nothing to worry about!!" I told him. "Want me to tell mom?!" He threatened. "DUSTIN!! Everything is fine! You don't need to tell mom that I'm feeling a little sick!" I told him, got up from my bed and pushed him out of my room "Bye Bye!" I said and slammed the door close.

Then I took my phone and dialed Maia's number. "Hey girl" She answered. "What's up Mai? Wanna hang out? I'm bored to death and my brother making me go crazy" I said. "Sure, shopping?" She asked and I groaned "Is that all you can come up with?" I asked "Hey, do you mind if Reese takes along?" "Call her! I love Reese! She's amazing!" She said and that made me smile. I was afraid that my besties don't get along, but now I have to be careful not to become the third wheel.

"Know what?" I asked "Let's meet at the mall" I gave in and she squealed "See ya" She said and hung up. I got up from my bed, quickly called her on my way to the mall.

Just 30 minutes later we all met up at the mall. "I can't believe Olivia finally agreed to going shopping!!" Maia squealed and hugged me and jumped up and down. "Stop it, I'm already feeling sick!" I said and she stopped. "Sorry" She said and let go of me. "Let's get shopping!" Reese said, hooked arms with me and Maia and pulled us inside the first shop.

"Hey, ain't that Asher over there?" Reese suddenly asked me. I looked from her to the boy standing at a rack. "I'm gonna go and talk to him" I said, freed myself from Reese and walked over to him "Hey there" I said and he looked at me. "Oh god.." He said and backed off a bit, making me think that he didn't want anyone to see him. "You okay?" I asked. "Yes, I just need to go!" He said and wanted to leave, but I held him back. "Asher!" I said serious.

"You are definitely too worried about everyone" He said. "I'm the only girl in my family and I have tons of brothers, including heartbreaker Dustin Copeland, jock Toby Copeland and wannabe bad boy Cody Copeland. How can't I not be worried all the time?" I asked him and he just looked at me.

"Stay out my stuff" Asher said and hurried off.

Then Maia and Reese came over "You really have a problem with staying out of other's business" Maia said as she laid down her hand on my shoulder. I pushed it down and sighed "It's who I am. I don't know why I always worry, but it's just what I do"

"Let's just check out the clothes, what do you say?" Reese interrupted us. "I say, you choose the clothes and make me try it on, like always" I said and she laughed "That's how we roll" Reese said and just a short time later I was packed with tones of clothes.

I tried them all on and Reese and Maia decided which ones I should buy.

After we were all tired with shopping, we sat down in a cafe and drank some milkshakes and just talked. Of course topic boys. And even Ryder was topic of the conversation. "How you feeling since Player dumbed you?" Maia asked Reese. "It's okay actually. I never really liked him anyways. He was just a way to get friends, which worked since he introduced me to his step-sister"

Yeah, Reese is one of the few people that remembered that I hate it to be called Ryder's sister, since I am not! And if, I would never date my brother and since we are dating, Ryder isn't my brother!!

"I'm gonna go and talk to that cute guy over there" Maia said and got up.

Maia's PoV

I walked over to the guy and tapped his shoulder. "Hey there" I said in a flirty voice. He turned around and it was a familiar face. It happened to be

"Hi Maia" He said with a shy smile. "I didn't know it was you..." I said a little awkward. "Well, if you are still interested we could go out sometimes" He said and I looked at him with widen eyes. "I couldn't! You are my best friend's ex-boyfriend and you cheated on her, so no the best option for a perfect boyfriend" I said and he looked at me. "I'm sorry for that, but I was set up. I can't prove it, but I'm sure of it!" He said.

"I'll think about it" I said and he gave me a note with his number. "I hope you call" He said and smiled. "I'm sorry" I said. "For what?" He asked and I slapped him. "That's what you get for cheating on my bestie!" I yelled and winked. He held his cheek in pain and I walked back to Reese and Olivia. "Wasn't a cute boy, was just a rat" I said and sat down on my chair.
