It didn't take long to pack or to find the car my parents had some how manage to hide from me. Or to find little notes and deflated balloons in the car. I pick up every single balloon and threw them out. With every balloon there was crying, with every note I stuffed in my pocket there was more memories. Maybe some day I would read them, but not today. I wished Louis would've found me, but how could he? He barely knew me. He had no idea where to look.

I was on my own...

I start the car and surprisingly it starts, full of gas. I turn it off and put my bags into the car, then I put on my hoodie covering my hair and face. I some how manage to make it to the town hall.

"I need the will for Mark and Julie Longward and John Perkins." I tell the lady. She types in the names then looks at me and smiles.

"Ava June Longward is that you?" She asks and I half smile. "Yeah..." I mumble.

"I thought you were dead. Their wills are being printed off the computer upstairs, you know where it is. You have a lot of money left for you." She says and I nod.

"I've missed you around the office," she says. "I miss you!" As I climb the stairs, it seemed like a life time ago I was here. I see my dads old office, I go to the door and stop dead in my tracks hearing Mayor Gaskin in there talking to someone. They said my name.

"His stupid daughter has came out of the hiding."

"When I killed her father I was hoping to kill her," a voice says. Was it Charlie?

"Do you think she knows?"

"Doubt it, she's clueless. If anything Perkins death should make her wanna leave for good." I shouldn't be here.

What were they talking about? What didn't I know? I grab the papers and rush down stairs. "Where are you going so fast?" Monica asks me.

"I-I got some where to be." I get into the car and drive to the bank. What seems like hours later I was driving to the edge of town. This was it, I'm leaving and nothing can stop me.

Louis pov

"Have you seen Ava?" I go around the town asking everywhere. Panic set up when Ava turned up, she apparently got her parents will and Mr. Perkins will and went to the bank. Everyone was freaked for some reason, it seemed everyone was lingering around the town hall. Until the mayor came out with someone.

"Can I have everyone's attention. It is my understanding that Ava has came out of hiding. I have talked to her and she is leaving town, no need to panic. I will continue to be mayor," he smiles and walks away whispering something to the guy with him. Something seemed up.

"Continue to be mayor?" I question.

"You didn't hear?" I girl asks and I shake my head. "Ava is mayor, when her parents died the town went to her she just didn't know. Everyone's money goes to her, her dad practically bought the town when her dad was mayor. Since her father was just elected when he was shoot it makes her mayor but she went into hiding and that guy just filled in. Every three years when it came to voting no one wanted him to rule the town so they still voted Ava."

What? So why is Ava leaving? Did she know this?

I see the guy that the "mayor" was talking to. "Uh oh," she says pointing to him.

"Where is Ava?" She asks moments later. "Why?" I ask her.

"He's going to kill her, Gaskin wants to be mayor and he'll do anything to be."

"How do you know?" I ask her. "I'm his daughter..." I look at her with wide eyes as she grabs my hand. "We need to find Ava now! You love her right?"

"I don't exactly love her but- I'm not stupid. I saw the way you always looked at her. Come on," and we get in her car as she drives. She heads to the town edge and there's another car there and Ava crying?

The girl pulls to a stop and I rush out to get Ava. I scoop her up in my arms. "L-Louis?" She hiccups. "We need to go. Someone's after you, why are you here?" She starts crying more.

"I can't cross the town line." I shake my head, "What do you mean?" I ask her.

"I can't cross the town line without May!" She tells me.

I take a deep breath, "May is dead. May wants what is best for you! I am here, Ava I know I've been in this town for eleven days now but I care. I care a lot about you, you need to get in your car and cross that line. I will be with you! But we need to do it now," she looks at me and smiles before hugging me tight. "Why do we have to leave so soon?"

"Get in the car and I'll tell you."

Twenty minutes into driving away from the town Ava pulled off into an abandoned parking lot. She put her car into park and looks at me. "What's going on that your not telling me?" She asks me.

"Did you know you were mayor?" I ask her and she shakes her head. "When your dad died he was re-elected for mayor, it got passed down to you. That stupid 'Mayor' back there is just a fill in and every time it's time to reelect everyone elected you not wanting him to run the down. Your dad bought that town, you have all this money coming your way."

"Gaskin wants me dead doesn't he?" I nod.

"I have a plan," she says with a smile turning around and driving back. Except before she turned around she kissed me, and I kissed back.
