When I woke I had cord attached to me. I look around freaked out to see I was in a hospital. "Louis!" I shout and I see someone jump out of a chair. It was Louis... "Ava in here," he presses a button. "Calm down baby, I'm here."

"What happened?" I asked him calming down some. I knew I was safe with Louis. "Let's get the nurses to look at you first before I explain." He stands beside me holding my hand. What happened? The last thing I remembered was a bang, I couldn't remember who pulled the trigger. Charlie or Gaskin?

Seconds later a nurse comes into the room. "Ava, I'm glad to see your up! Do you know what happened?" I shake my head no, "All I remember was someone pulling the trigger." I tell the nurse truthfully.

"Okay, well a gun was shot towards you. A citizen jumped in front of you and you hit your head making you pass out. You don't have any head injuries surprisingly, but I would go easy for the next couple of days. The doctor wants to visit you before he discharges you," the nurse tells me. It takes me a second to comprehend everything before nodding my head. She runs a couple tests on me, tests my blood sugar and gives me something sweet to eat since it was low.

The entire time Louis stayed beside me. Once the nurse leaves I'm actually able to talk to Louis. "So?" I ask him simply. "Once you said what you said Charlie pulled out a gun. A guy jumped in front of you to stop the bullet, he just got grazed but you were pushed out of the way. Like the nurse said you hit your head and passed out. The cops tackled Charlie, he was arrested and Charlie admitted to killing your friend and family. After that Charlie also said Gaskin was in on the whole thing and Gaskin got arrested as well. Then the ambulance picked you and the other guy up." Louis explains to me, "Your mayor of the city!" He also tells me.

"What?" I say and he just nods. I'm comes what I'm assuming the doctor. He starts talking gibberish but all I understood was, "You can go home. Go easy the next few days!" And then I had to sign release papers to leave. "Umm, doctor, could I please meet the man who saved my life?" I ask him.

"Of course, he's down the hall in room 202. He was asking about you," I nod. "I brought you some cloths," Louis tells me giving me a bag. "They are mine since I didn't have a key to your house."

I went into the bathroom to put on Louis cloths. My hair was a mess but I was able to put water on it to calm my hair. Other than that I looked fine, I was actually surprised at how well I looked. I had a scar from where it looks I got my head but it was easily hidden with my hair.

I super blonde hair.... my eyes were bright and for once I was happy.

"I'm ready," I tell Louis. He looked me up and down. "You look hot in my cloths!" He says with a wink. I blush and push him a little. "I wanna go meet this guy, do I look okay?" He nods and gives me a kiss. "You look beautiful!" I didn't know what we were but I was okay with that.

Louis grabbed his stuff and we both left the room to go to room 202. Once I walk in the nurse backs up from the bed and when I realize who it was I freeze. "Ava June Longward," he says taking notice of what I looked like.

"Liam James Payne," I'm able to say. "Who is it?" Louis asks me. "I'm her ex-boyfriend." Liam says, "Who are you?" Liam counters.

"Her boyfriend." Louis fires back. I could sense his jealousy. "You saved me?" I interrupt them.

"Yeah, well I may have broke your heart and hurt you but I didn't want you to end up like your friend and parents." Just hearing him say it I cringe. "You don't deserve to be a hero, Liam. Your far from one!" I fire back.

"You don't know me, Ava!"

"Once a cheater always a cheater." I tell him. "I'm sorry, okay? It was a jerk move but we're older," he says.

"Listen, thanks for saving me but I'm leaving now." I tell him and I grab Louis hand to drag him out of the room.

"Where to?" Louis asks.

"Out of here."

"Are you sure you are leaving?" Monica asks me. Louis was out in the car with our bags. I had took out all my money I could and we were going to travel.

"Put the assistant mayor in charge, I'll be back in two months. I need to see the world," I tell her. She smiles, "Good luck Ava! You deserve it, I'll see you in two months." I nod and give her a big hug.

Then I go out to the car. "So your girlfriend huh?" I ask Louis as we begin driving.

"Of course, you ready for our adventure?" He asks me and lean over to kiss him.

"I was born ready!" I tell him.

And that was our story, it was rough at first but I made every intention of staying with Louis till the end.

After all, I loved him!
