Chapter 7: The Wedding And The Fake Boyfriend Didn't Even Happen
School was now over for the day, Ryder had taken me home, and I went straight up to my splatter painted room to think.
Casper and Jasper had told me that the wedding was in two days, and that my brother was being forced to go by our mother.
My brother wanted me to know that Xavier and Stella invited me to go to the wedding, and he wanted me to bring a hot date.
The only hot person I knew that I could get to go with me is Ryder, but it'll take a heck of a lot of convincing.
Wow, I just called Ryder hot in my thoughts. At least it was in my thoughts and not out loud to his face. That would boost his already oversized ego.
The stupid wedding was going to be held outside on the beach in Florida, and I knew I would have to hold myself back from pushing both the bride and the groom into the ocean.
I would most likely know every single person there, and every single person would know me. Especially the bride and the groom.
I still need to get a dress, and I still need to get Ryder to say yes to going to my ex fiancée's wedding, so I'd better hurry.
I walked out of my room, went downstairs to where Ryder, Casper, and Jasper were, and I took a deep breath.
"Before you say anything, yeah I'll be your date to the stupid wedding that you shouldn't even have to go to." Ryder said, turning around to look at me.
I gave him a what-the-fuck-how-did-you-know-that look and he gave me a small smile. It's like the guy knows me like the back of his own hand.
"How did you know that I was going to ask?" I asked him, sitting down across from him.
I sat by Casper, and Jasper was sitting by Ryder. Ryder leaned forward and he genuinely smiled at me, which made his pretty green eyes lighten up a bit.
"Well you only know me, Casper, and Jasper in this town out of the guys, and the odds are kid of high that someone will recognize one of them since they used to live there. That only leaves me, the player." Ryder said intelligently.
I let out a small laugh and I leaned back against the soft couch. Stupid wedding. Stupid ex fiancée. Stupid ex best friend.
"Smart boy. So you will?" I said and asked in slight amusement.
"Yeah, but you shouldn't even go, it's your ex fiancée's and your ex best friend's wedding." Ryder told me with a hint of anger in his voice.
I could understand where he was coming from, and I knew that I shouldn't have to go.
My own brother even expected me to go, along with my mother who saw that Xavier did no wrongdoing.
"The wedding's in two days, right?" Xavier asked me with a small yawn afterwards.
He looked tired, and I know that he wanted some rest. I needed rest too. I'm going to my ex fiancée's wedding with my old best friend that I know hated.
"Yeah, short notice." I said emotionlessly.
"No kidding. We're gonna have to ditch school, you know that right? We still need the dress clothes and its a long drive from here to Florida." Ryder told me with a terse nod.
Ditch school when I've only gone for two days? Wow, that's a new low that I thought that I'd never go.
"Yeah, I figured. You look exhausted. You all do." I said in concern.
