Stefan's POV
"Getting ready for the big game, huh brother?" Damon said as he entered the room.
"Your sarcastic ways are a tad annoying."
"So, you and that Ava girl are pretty serious, huh? I saw her at practice clad in those spandex shorts she looked so," he paused as if looking for the right word,"delicious." He announced with that trademark smirk of his.
"Leave her out of this." I growled through clenched teeth.
"Ooh, is that anger I detect? Too bad you can't beat me. How exactly do those bunnies taste?" He chuckled at himself. I rolled my eyes.
"What exactly do you want, Damon?" I questioned pulling my jersey over my head.
"Oh right! I'm coming to the game. It's all apart of my master plan. And if you so much as ruin anything, and I mean anything. I might get a little hungry, for a certain... cheerleader. So, stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours." Without another word he walked out of the room. I sighed.

Ava's POV
"Stop! Stop, stop! Where the hell is your head Tiki!? You've got flexed feet and bent knees on the basket tosses." I screamed. My pregame jitters are setting in and I held an emergency lunch practice to make sure the team has it.
"Chill, Av. You've worked us for an hour and most of us haven't eaten." Bonnie said. I sighed. She was right. I actually looked at my team. I could see how tired they actually were.
"Alright, alright. You guys did do great. So I'll give you guys an hour of the two and a half hours before the game." Every starting cheering. "But so help me God if I see any mistakes during halftime!" That made everyone laugh. I chuckled and walked outside trying to find my boyfriend.
"Ava!" I heard someone calling me. I turned around and saw Bonnie running towards me.
"Yeah Bon?"
"Can I have lunch with you and Stefan? Caroline's a little upset with me right now." She says looking at her feet.
"You too Bon?" She nodded, "well sure but we'll have to find him first."
"He's right there," Bonnie pointed behind me and I turned around and saw Stefan sitting on top of one of the picnic tables. He wasn't there a second ago.
Bonnie and I made our way over to him just as he pulled out a tupperware. A huge smiled was painted across his face. I looked at Bonnie and saw she was smiling also. Did they plan something?
"It's chocolate covered pretzels. Bonnie told me you loved them and it just so happens my uncle Zack loves them too. I raided his snack cabinet." I took the container and smiled brightly.
"Is she really happy about pretzels?" I heard Caroline say. I looked around. Caroline was in the student parkun lot. More than five feet away. There's no way I should've heard that. I shook it off. My mind plays too many tricks on me.
"Thank you." The small things are always what mattered to me. I opened the container and I was greated with a beautiful bracelet. I smiled from ear to ear. It was beautiful. It was a simple chain with a heart locket in the middle. Stefan jumped off the table and picked up the bracelet.
"It's not big. And I can't say what I feel for you is love. But I really, really, really like you. And I bought this thirty dollar bracelet to show you how much I like you. Although forty bucks isn't a lot." He said all while trying to put the bracelet on me. He chuckled as he struggled to clasp it.
When the metal touched my skin it burned me.
