It's the 13th march 2010 and it's the 2nd day of year 10 at BlueWater High School and it was just a normal day for her but when she went home her day just changed, she found her Dad passed out from drinking, she left a note on the door for Jeremy and Nadia saying "I have gone shop with Dad we will be back later but we will be a while" and then called the ambulance when they collected him Avery went with him and they where trying to stabilise him and he was let out of hospital 2 hours later, When they got home Avery found out something that changed her life.
Avery's Dad (Mike) when they got home made sure that Nadia was upstairs, she was just listening to music in her room and Jeremy was out with his band practicing and then Avery's Dad sat her down and said" I'm sorry that you found me that way and there's something that I haven't told you" Avery goes "what Dad, what is it" and he says "when I was little I never had a family like this that's why I try and give you the best life I can" and (Avery) says "what do you mean" and her Dad says "when I was younger my Dad used to be abusive towards me, my brother, my sister and my mum, He used to come home from work and take it out on us, he used to drink and smoke. I made friends with my Mums' friends' son George and he was my age he was 12 like me at the time and it was like an on going thing, I used to go round their house every weekend and sometimes their uncle used to come and take us away on camping trips it was a family that I never really had to me but one day George's dad Martin picked me up and normally when I do, George was in there as well but he wasn't and I started to think something was wrong, when I got to their house I over heard Martin go in the house and I heard Georges' mum (Marie) say to his uncle (John) "you ever touch my child again you will never see another day" but I tried not to think anything of it, when John got in the car I started saying "where's George, where's my friend" (crying) and then John said "shut up child, just shut up", then he took me into a house and another man was their but I didn't know who he was I never saw the man in my life then they made me swallow a drug which was a date rape drug and it makes it so you can't remember anything and then they raped me and I was crying for my mum, they wouldn't stop, I didn't know what they had done until 12 years later when a programme came on the television and it was nothing like you thought would've heard on the television before so I put it on timer and watched it, later that night when I watched it, I was sat down with your mother after she had just put you and Jeremy to bed and on the programme it showed a still picture of this room and it blurred out certain bits in it and that's when the memories started coming back to me, and I was an alcoholic at the time and when I told your mum "that's me, that's me on the television" she didn't believe me she just thought I had to much to drink and the morning after she went to me "was that really you on the television" and I told her "forget about it" so we did but my drinking got worse and since then I've been trying to find out about it and I can't find It anywhere it's like it's gone missing and no one wants me to find it. Then her dad said "that's why I want you to be a cheerleader like your mother, because I know how proud you would make her and even though she's not around anymore, she id never forgotten and she is always looking down on you". Then Avery goes I'm so sorry dad (crying) is there anything I can do to help you and her dad goes " you already are doing it, your making me proud of you every single day and that's all I can ask from you" then they hug each other and she Avery goes up stirs crying and goes in to her bedroom and goes to sleep.
The morning after
Avery wakes up and says "Dad I'm not going to be home straight away, I'm going to cheerleading try outs after school" Avery's dad "good luck hunny". She meets Austin outside and they go to school together, on the way to school " I'm going to try out for cheerleading after school" (happily) Austin "awwww cool good luck Avs", Avery "thank you".
After school
Avery goes to cheerleading try outs and does her routine, Gemma the cheerleading captain and Nicole and Meredith likes her routine and put her through with 4 other girls Jenny, Mary, Larna and Dakota and gives them all the cheerleading uniforms and goes "tomorrow we will meet at front gates and everyday you have to wear your cheerleading uniforms and we will do cheerleading practice every lunch time or break time and we will hang out everyday because this is our new clique group" (Avery) "Ok thank you see you all tomorrow bye girls", When she got home she called Austin up and said "Omg I got through I'm a cheerleader" (ecstatically) and Austin says "aww congratulations Avs so happy for you and will we still be the same" and Avery says "yes I promise nothing will come in-between us", (Austin) "ok that's all that matters.
The day after (Avery's point of view)
It was the day after and everything seemed so different, I like my new mates but "is it weird that I miss Austin a little bit?". when we where practicing it was so much fun but I was a bit nervous because people stood round to watch us practice and after school we all went to the mall and I spoke to Dakota and she felt the same way like her life had changed but she does love that she's a cheerleader. When we went to the Mall it was so much fun all of us cheerleaders hung out and went shopping and I bought this lush new top and it was blue and had sequins going down the sides. I must admit I did love that I was finally getting noticed for once because before I was a cheerleader I felt invisible apart from Austin, Omg! Austin! I completely forgot I told him I would meet him today, he is going to be so mad at me. "Austin I'm so sorry I completely forgot", "it's fine don't worry about it (trying to sound understanding), (Avery) "ok thank you so what do you want to do?" (Austin) "Anything do you want to come round mine for a bit?", (Avery) "yeah sure".
Later on that day.....
When Avery got home her little sister Nadia asked her if she wanted to hang out and so they did, afterwards they had their dinner and then they watched television for a bit, they where watching "Big Band Theory" and after that they went to the shop and Avery bought Nadia some sweets then they went home and went in to their bedroom where Avery was working on the routine and Nadia had to do her science homework quickly.
