Wrong Or Right (A NARUTO Fanfic)

Drowning

We approached our meeting grounds earlier than our sensei usually would. Once again, he was late and it seemed like I just found Kakashi-sensei's new talent!

Being late!

Anyways, while I didn't feel being hyper today. I don't know what happened but.. something just shook inside me this morning. I didn't wake up happy like I usually would. Sakura and Sasuke looked at me waiting for a "hai" or "hello".

My comrades blinked two times.

"H-hello, Naruto!", Sakura greeted, stammering a bit. I smiled the best I could and waved. I sat down beside her, propping my arm up on my knee.

Out the corner of my eye, both of them looked at me, looked at each other then turned away. 'Their probably making more insults about me'.

I looked down and I remembered someone. Someone I haven't thought of in quite a  while..

Scarlet.

I shook the thought away and tried my best not to imagine that horrible memory, those long years ago. A puff of smoke appeared a couple of feet away from us and I looked up to see Kakashi-sensei.

"YOU'RE LATE!", Sakura shouted, pointing at her, standing up. Me and Sasuke just sat there, staring at the cotton-candy haired girl. Sakura blinked and turned her gaze towards me and relaxed.

"Sorry I'm late.. again. Anyways, today, since we already did the bell test two days ago, we need to learn about chakra- control so you can walk and run on water. Now to start this lesson, I need one of you to go find a pond or a lake or something", he explained.
With that, me and my teammates set off to go find what our sensei desired for our lesson. In ten minutes, I found a thick river and reported back to Kakashi-sensei and my followers. "Good job, Naruto. You're not usually this spot on.".

Sasuke looked away with a jealous expression.

We approached ourselves tothe river. I blinked and had an idea, I really had to tune my sensei out so I could think.

"... Prepared to get wet okay. Hope you brought another change of clothes, okay?", I heard partially.  "Who would like to go first?".

I raised my hand.

Sakura and Sasuke fell back in unison. Kakashi stared at me and blinked, uncontrollably.

"Um.. okay.. go on ahead", he said. I nodded and tried standing on the calm, rushing water. I shook and trembled then fell in the water. For some reason, I let myself sink.. deep down into the darkness that the water was carrying me into.

I felt my lungs bursting telling me to get oxygen.. and fast. But I refused. Another attempt... trying to kill myself..

I started fading away and out, closing my eyes slowly.  I then felt a warm hand touch my scarred arm.

I blacked out. . .
