Wrong Or Right (A NARUTO Fanfic)

Drowning II

My eyes snapped open and revealed to see my comrades all looking down on me. 'Why aren't I dead yet?!', I thought, scrambling to my feet. "Naruto, what happened?!", Sasuke asked, (surprisingly worried).

Kakashi and Sakura frowned.

"Yeah! I mean, it feels like you just wanted to drown yourself!", said Sakura. I took off my jacket.

"And if I did?", I asked, turning to them. They went silent. Sasuke muttered something.

"What was that Sasuke?"

"I said then you're suicidal then, dobe!", Sasuke snapped. Sakura made a 'how-could-you-say-that-face'. "Sasuke!", Sakura exclaimed.

"Well it's true! If he did try to kill himself or at least harm yourself, then you are suicidal! Either way!", said the raven. Kakashi-sensei looked at Sakura.

"He does have a fair point" Kakashi added on to Sasuke. I ignored the arguing trio and hung my jacket up on a tree branch that was in the bright sunshine.

"Naruto"

"Yea?"

"Did you try to kill yourself?", Kakashi-sensei asked. I stared at him and it felt like my heart just stopped. "Naruto.. answer me"

"I don't know", I stammered, my hands trembling .

"That doesn't answer my question", he said, plainly. "It's either 'yes' or 'no".

'I guess it's time to come clean'

"Yes.. yes, I did", I answered, honestly. Sasuke and Sakura (once again) fell back in unison.

"But why?", he asked, slowly. I shook my head slowly.

"You wouldn't understand", I replied, walking away from the group and sitting down by a nearby tree, watching everyone else.

~ THIRD PERSON ~

Naruto watched his comrades do the lesson. To be honest, he already knew how to walk on water, he just didn't want to do it. Sasuke and Kakashi looked at him, but Sasuke looked away first. He wanted to help his comrade, he wanted to feel like he was accepted. But to do that, he would need to change every mind in the village.

'Naruto.. I've always known you have always been abandoned and alone. But you need to get your act together, or else.. you might end up on the wrong path', Kakashi thought, turning his gaze away from the blonde.

At the end of the lesson, Sakura decided to treat everyone to ramen. Sakura glanced at Naruto and walked over to him. The blonde was putting his orange jacket back on. "Hey Naruto-kun! We're going out to ramen, my treat!". The blonde wanted to despise and decline this message, but if he wanted to show his team he was all right, he needed to act like his usual self.

"Ramen?! Oh sweet! Can I come?", Naruto asked, anxious. Sakura threw a nice smile and nodded.

'It'sgood to see that Naruto is back to his old self again', Sakura thought while walking to Iruchika ramen.
