~Scarlet's POV~

School was a nightmare for the next few days. Either Mark and the 'populars' wouldn't leave me alone or they criticized me for my brother. So my only logic: screw them, not actually screwing them in the nasty way but screwing them as in that I don't need to spend my time with them anyway. I had grown close to Hannah since she always talked to me before we had to get some sleep. I was excited to absolutely do nothing while everyone was at their stupid Homecoming dancing their brains out, well whats left of it anyway. I was eating some pizza from a little shop in town. I was having a Supernatural marathon in my bedroom not giving a care until I heard my brothers voice talking with Champ. I turned up my tv but they also seemed to get louder. "You've got to be kidding me. I was having a marathon of my boyfriends" I mumbled angrily and went to my closet, getting dressed since I heard them outside and grabbing my baseball bat. Making my way to my window I put my one hand on my window and gripped it, kicking the ladder next to me in my direction. After successfully making it, I climbed down, careful not to make any noise. I walked into my neighbors yard when I saw my brother go inside his house through the basement. "You are so dead meat" I growled and saw Champ go in after him. I saw that Champ dropped his flashlight. "Idiot" I mumbled, grabbing it and going inside the basement. "Who the heck puts bear traps in their basement?" I asked myself as I carefully avoided the traps on the floor. I walked quietly up the stairs and felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I must have jumped five feet in the air. "Scar chill it's just me" Hannah's voice whispered as we hear they guys' voice in the study. I put my finger on my lip and quietly got inside the room. As we entered the room I heard my brother's voice. "Look out" Zach yelled and ducked, landing on the floor. I looked down and saw Zach and Champ hugging each other as they laid on the ground. "Zach?" Hannah asked."Hey Hannah?" Zach said timidly, pushing Champ off but then saw me. "Oh hey sis" he said playing innocent. "What are you doing in my house?" Hannah asked. "I thought you were chained up, possibly" Zach told Hannah as the guys got up. "Why would you think that?" Hannah asked. "Because I heard you scream and then I called the police" Zach explained. "Okay all three of you need to go right now" Hannah told us. "Yes, Okay" Zach said as he tried to leave. "One second" Champ said, stopping Zach from leaving. "Hi. Hi, I'm Champ. Nice to meet you. Were to the semiformal tonight...and I don't know, you should come and invite a friend. I really don't care what she looks like" Champ said as Hannah looked around. "Did you unlock a book?" Hannah asked the guys. "Yeah I did. I'm sorry. It's around here somewhere. I just dropped it. I'll put it back and we'll be out of your hair" Zach apologized as he looked around. "Look here it is--" "No! Don't open it!" Hannah yelled as Zach picked up the book by the cover. The book popped out of his hands, and moved itself to the other side of the study. My eyes opened wide and I stepped back. Then the book opened it self, a cold wind came out, blowing everyone to the floor. The words from the book started to turn into ink and the ink started to form into something else. I couldn't really see that well since there were dark clouds swirling around the book. As the clouds disappeared an abominable snowman stood in the study. It looked at the overhead light couriousily and tapped it. The overhead light hit the abominable snowman's nose, making it growl and look at the hanging dear head on the wall. "What's going on?" I whispered to Hannah as I scooted away from the creature. "Nobody make a sound" Hannah whispered back. *Lamp crashes* I looked back at Champ and saw that he had knocked over the lamp. The abominable snowman roared, making Champ scream. Quite girlishly I might add. The creature started to move to Champ, Champ just still screaming even louder. My brother knocked Champ over just in time for the creature to smash into the wall and fall out of the house. "My dad's gonna kill me" Hannah said as she got up and rushed to get the book. "Woah, woah wait" I said as I got up and rushed after her while she ran out of the house. "Hannah. Hannah, wait" my brother yelled after Hannah, trying to stop her. "Go home. You're in way over your head" Hannah said to my brother. "You wanna tell me what's going on?" He asked Hannah. "No, I can't explain. I have to go" Hannah told Zach as she ran after the creature. I rolled my eyes and ran after her. She wouldn't stop running so I just jumped on her back. "Hey hey hey, get off me" Hannah yelled. "Not until you let me help you" I said and she sighed. "Fine. But you have to listen to me" she said and I nodded my head. "Okay deal" I told her and jumped off. "Why aren't you running away screaming?" Hannah asked me after she told me her plan. "Listen I lived in New York, there was weird stuff always going on, and I've watched a lot of Supernatural so I'm used to the whole weird stuff" I said and went inside the ice rink with her. "You truly are different from the other girls I know" she told me. "Thanks, you're not that bad either" I told her and we stepped onto the ice. I almost tripped and fell on my face. "Hannah? What is happening? How did that pop out of a book?" Zach asked as Hannah got ready to open the book. "Shhhhh. It's here" she whispered. "Hey we should get a gun" Champ said to Zach. "Are you kidding? We need a tank" My idiotic brother told his friend. "Oh my god" I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Wait. He's made out of snow" Champ said. "No shit sherlock" I hissed. "Flamethrower" "Bag of salt" the boys said at the exact same time. "Flamethrower" Champ corrected and Hannah got annoyed. "Quiet. He can't be killed" she said and a red skittle fell onto the ice. "It's candy" I stated the obvious while picking it up. Then it started to rain down candy. I looked up at the ceiling with the others. "Look out" I yelled as I saw a vending machine fall from the score board. I fell on my butt and groaned. I pushed myself back and saw the abominable snowman jump down from where it was hiding. It stood on the vending machine, eating chocolate bars. It didn't seem to notice us. "Come on. It's distracted" Zach told us and got up. "Hannah, sis. Come on. Let's go" Zach said as Champ and him grabbed us and dragged us. "What are you doing? Get off. No. Stop it" Hannah sneered and tried to break free. "You don't understand. The only way to stop them is to suck them back into the book" I said and tried to get out of their grip also. "Just drop the book. Let it suck itself back in" Champ told Hannah and I. "No I'm not close enough" Hannah yelled at him. Hannah broke free and I stomped on my brothers foot. I got free and stood next to Hannah. The book's lock clicked open and the monster looked up at the sound. It growled and went after us. "Wait what are you doing? Just open the book" Champ whimpered. "Just wait" I hissed and got my baseball bat ready just in case. "Open the book" my brother said. "Not yet" Hannah told him. "HANNAH" both guys yelled and Hannah tried to open the book. The abominable snowman just knocked it out of her hand before she could open it. It skidded across the ice. "The book" I said and got up, going after it. "What are you doing?" Champ asked me. "SCARLET" my brother yelled. I ran for the book but the ice broke causing me to fall and slide against the ice. I tried to reach for the book but my arms were too short. "NO, NO, NO,NO!!!!!" I yelled as I hit the wall of the ice rink. The monster came after the book. "Don't let it get the book" Hannah yelled as she also failed to get the book. I saw my brother get a hockey stick and throw it across the ice. It caught the book and slid into one of the stands. "Are you guys okay?" Zach asked Hannah and I as we got up. "Yeah" we told him. "Guys! Come on, let's go!" Champ yelled as he stood on the ice cleaner machine. "Good idea! Punch it!" my brother yelled as we ran to him. It only went 2mph. "Bad idea! Bad idea! Get off that thing!" I yelled and ran past him. Champ jumped just in time to not be crushed by the abominable snowman. It looked around for us but we all hid. The monster saw my brother and roared, raising it's fist and punching the machine. "Hurry! This way!" I yelled and held open one of the stands. They were chased by the monster but made it just in time. I closed the door, making the abominable snowman face-plant into the glass. It fell to the floor. "All right!" I yelled happily and then saw the monster's head perk up. "You've got to be kidding me" I whined. It reached over the glass and tried to grab us. I hit it with my baseball bat. It started to pound on the glass and tried to break it. It broke the glass and made all of us scream. Glass shards covered our bodies . All of a sudden the monster started to turn back into ink as it was sucked back into his book. "EVERYONE IN THE CAR NOW!" Hannah's father yelled, holding the book in his hand.
