Warm waters (Lapis x Jamie)

ch.3 Little Quartz Child

(Lapis's POV)

"S-Steven, W-what are you doing here" I said blushing a wild dark blue. " Why didn't you tell me you were on a date with Jamie, me and the gems have been looking everywhere" He says in a worried tone. "Sorry, I just...well it was kind of last minute...and-"

"No! You were planning to leave me just like mom" Steven sobs. " No Steven that was not at all what I was trying to do" I say as I lean in to hug him. " No, Get away, If you want to leave like mom then just leave!" Steven yells running into the distance. "STEVEN WAIT" I yell. it was no use, Steven kept running and even from my distance I could still see tears running off of his cheek. "I-im sorry, I-I did not know he...." Jamie sadly says. "No, no, Jamie your fine Steven just needs to come around" I say looking off into the distance where the small child was running. " Im sorry but I have to go" I say to Jamie. Jamie wipes a tear off his cheek and nods. I cant help notice how cute he looks when he's sad so I bend down and give him a kiss before I go.

Once I get to the temple I hear Steven mumbling things to himself and realize what he's about to do. "Steven NO!" I yell as I get to the temple. Sadly it was already to late...Steven had finally collapsed under all the pressure the world has set upon him and he drove a knife through his chest and poofed. "STEVEN!" I yell as I quickly scoop up his gem before it breaks on the floor.

After about 15 min of me sobbing I decide what I have to do. "If I stay, the gems will surely shatter me for they will think I killed Steven...and if I go...I can never return" I say to myself. I slowly walk over to the Warp Pad and warp to my old outpost on Geode Island (Island from Island adventure). Once I am there I head to the largest waterfall on the island. "Hope this still works" I say with determination. I push down on a nearby rock and the waterfall stops and reveals a gemstone door with 4 gems on a blue diamond. Me, Aquamarine, Jade, and Frosty Agate.

My Gem starts to glow and the door opens. Unlike normal temple doors this was a normal gem door that could only be unlocked by the gems that lived here. Once the door opens I see that the place really did not age very well. I mean everything was in prime condition but it was very dusty and old. I walk down the narrow pathway inside and follow it to 4 sets of rooms. I walk over to the door with the blue wave patterns and twist the knob. The door opens and I am very happy to be home. I look around and see my room has been left exceptionally clean, the bright blue walls shined, the white carpet was a brilliant white and soft and finally me bed was still nice and neatly made. I smile at the sight of my old room. Then I take Steven's gem out of my pocket and walk across the hall into Jade's room.  I set Steven's gem down on Jade's green bed and exit. Finally after the long and exhausting day I walk into my room to go relax. And that's when I hear a noise coming from the hall...
