I'm on my morning mail routine, dropping letters off and what not when I start thinking about that Lapis girl at the play. Those wonderful blue eyes that thick blue wavy hair and last but not least that lovely blue dress. I can't stop thinking about her so I eventually decided to write a letter to her. I run back home for my "Lunch Break" and I write her the letter, "
Dear Lapis
I noticed how fond you are for me as I am for you so I am asking you on a date this evening around 6:30 at the crab shack hope to see you there.
Sincerely Jamie
"well its short, sweet and to the point" I say as I look down at the small note. I decided not to use any poetic means in my letter since what happened last time I tried that. "Oh well its time to deliver that note" I say aloud to myself. I run out my door very excited and with hope that my heart will not be crushed. I run as fast as I can to reach Stevens small house on the beach. Once there I quietly slip the note in the mailbox and take off. Sadly my nerves got the best of me and I let out a loud " whoooop whoop whooop whoooo " as I run away flailing my arms.
(Lapis's Pov)
I hear someone yelling outside so I decide to go see who it was. I open the door and look down the beach yet I saw nobody. Since I'm outside I decide to get the mail if there is any. I walk down the warm wooden stairs and onto the hot sand, then over to the mailbox. "Lets see what's insiiiiide" (If you get that reference you are amazing) I open the rustic metal box and see a letter inside. I open the blue envelope and read the words aloud to myself. "Jamie, wants to go on a date" I yell aloud blushing wildly. I am both excited and worried about the date, then I wonder if I should even go. "Lapis are you joking me" I hear a voice say in my head. Then I decided to go with the voice of my head, I mean he is gorgeous! Now I am overly excited to go on a date with Jamie.
(Jamie's POV a few hours later)
I tap my foot impatiently waiting for the beautiful blue girl to show her face again. Just then as if on cue she walks through the door. "Ah your here I'm so glad you came" I Happily say realizing I had not been turned down like last time. "Ya so where are we sitting" she calmly asked. "Oh were just getting food here, I have bigger plans for tonight" I excitedly said. "To the Beach" I yell pointing to the door.
(Lapis's POV)
Jamie seems to be a very lively character which I really like about him. "Come on lapis into the car" Jamie says pushing me into his car. Jamie then hops in the car, starts the engine and then were off. Jamie speeds down the road mumbling things to himself like " were gonna miss is, were gonna be late, go faster you dumb car". Truth be told I found it cute and funny him acting this way. " Finally were here, we need to hurry" he says picking me up bridal style. Jamie then carry's me down the beach and gently lays me down on a red checkered blanket. " awwwh Jamie is this what I think it is" I ask. " Yep a picnic on the beach... at kinda sunset" He says pointing to the almost set sun. "Well thanks for trying, and I think its still great" I say as I give him a peck on the cheek. He blushes and pulls out the food from the carry out bag. "Lobster or Crab" he says holding out two steaming plastic boxes. "Ummmmm...Lobster" I answer. "Ok, and after your done with that I got some dessert to go" Jamie says smiling. "You mean you got me dessert " I jokingly say as I take the box. "No lapis its for us to have together" Jamie says with puppy dog eyes. "Awe fine, I was kidding anyways" I reply. He smiles and we start to eat our food. The rest of the night went on pretty well after that and then something happened that threw our whole date off the rails...
