Joshua pov
I feel my heart pumping faster and faster and it feels like the whole world has stopped. After what seems like forever I finally get myself to move forward. Colleen hasn't broken the eye contact and I can't stop looking at her. I feel a tug on my sleeve. Chloe. "Josh WHAT are you looking at?" She says annoyed. "Nothing!" I say almost too quickly. She gives me a look of disgust and we walk over to one of the side tables in the room. I find some of my old buddies, although I have kept in touch with most of them. We talk for a while and I sneak glances at Colleen every chance I get. She hasn't looked at me once. Finally some of the awkwardness in the room fades away and everyone starts to walk around the room instead of stationed at one table. My heart begins to skip as I realize this is my chance to go up to her. Why am I so nervous? It's Colleen Ballinger. Why should I be nervous to talk to her of all people? I take one more glance and get my answer. She's the most gorgeous person I have ever seen. I take a deep breath and look over at Chloe. She looks miserable. I don't know why but I suddenly get angry at her. I'm always here supporting her with everything and the ONE time she has to do something for me she can't even PRETEND to have fun. BUt I can't keep getting distracted. I need to find Colleen. "Hey Chloe I'm gonna go say hi to some of my old friends." I say to her trying to hide my anger. She gives a slight nod of the head and slumps in a chair looking at her phone. I roll my eyes but focus on the task at hand. I scan the room intently until I finally see a little brown-haired head amongst the crowd. I make a straight line for her nearly knocking people out of the way in the process.  I finally get to her and I am at a loss for words. "Colleen?" I say to her. She turns around and when her eyes settle on me she smiles the most perfect smile I have ever seen. "Oh my god! Josh! It's so good to see you!" She says back as she comes in for a hug. She hugs me tight and I can't help but think there was a spark. We stand there hugging for what seems like forever. When we let go we just sit there smiling at each other like we're two middle schoolers again. We engage in some small talk at first but then we just start talking and talking like we are best friends. There isn't one pause or awkward silence. It's like it's meant to be. I could sit and talk for hours but after only 15 minutes a man comes up behind Colleen and puts his hand around her waist. "Oh. Josh this is Marcus my... Boyfriend." My heart sinks to the ground.
I hope you like it so far! Have a nice day and don't forget to smile!
