COLLEENS pov
I sit in his arms for what seems like forever.
I look up and see a car swerving down the road at an insane speed. I pull Joshua off of the curb and onto the sidewalk in a complete panic. We get out of the way just in time as the car goes spinning down the road. It starts to turn around and I begin to walk away. I know that car. Tears form in my eyes. I look at josh and he's still watching the car with near terror on his face. "Josh" I barely squeak out. He jerks his head to face me with concern on his face. He knows something isn't right. "We have to go right now. Thats Marcus."
Joshua pov
Those words hit me like a truck. Why is he back? What is he going to do? I watch Colleens face which is incredibly frightened. Poor baby. I'm not going to let him get to her. I'll protect her with everything I can. The car instantly stops. I back away as I pull Colleen with me. I don't know where to go. Before we know it Marcus has come out of the car and wobbly makes his way to the sidewalk. I'm trying to get Colleen to start moving away but she is in a trance. "Colleen." I whisper-yell. She snaps out of her trance as she realizes Marcus has seen her and is sprinting towards us. "Run." I say. She grasps my hand as we turn around and begin running as fast as we can away from him. He's drunk and delusional and who knows what else. We keep runnin (runnin runnin OOOOWHOOOOOOAAAA I had to). Colleen is completely worn out I don't know how much further she can go. It's time to face him like a man (this is so cheesy omg). I turn around and see him running frantically in circles. He's completely drunk. His hands are spinning above his head and he's looking around for someone Colleen. To my horror I start to make out what he has in his hands. A gun.
