Josh pov
Chloe sits looking at me with tears rolling down her cheeks. I hate to see her like this but I'm doing what's best for both of us. "I'm so sorry Chloe. You will find someone that's right for you." She gives me one last hug and heads out the door. I stare at the door, unsure if I made the right choice. I gave up my girl for someone who is in a happy relationship and has probably already forgotten about me. I put my head in my hands and close my eyes. I'm interrupted a few minutes later by my phone vibrating in my pocket. My eyes are still closed as I answer. "Hello?" I hear a sniffle on the other end followed by "Joshua?" My heart pstops. The world spins. I'd know that voice anywhere.
"Colleen! Oh my god how have you been?"
"I-I'm ok." I hear her start to cry as my heart dies. I can barely make out the words but she tells me where she is as I'm already in my car. I'm nearly speeding until I see mess of tangled brown hair sitting on the side of the street. I sprint to her and she looks up at me with those beautiful brown eyes. I wrap my arms around her as she sobs into my shoulder. She leans into my ear and whispers
"My hero."
