Newt sat patiently on the far side of the room. Many had come to pay their respects to her. Some were short, others were long. Minho, Galley, Alby, Winston, and Chuck were the longest.

They had just banished Ben not more than two hours ago, he harmed a Glader. And he killed their girl. At first he pleaded for forgiveness, asking for them to ask Rosanne. He wasn't himself, he wanted a second chance.

But as soon as he found out she was dead, the boy crashed. His eyes went to Newt's and apology after apology came out. He voluntarily went into the Maze after that... No amount of apologies were bringing her back though.

She lay on the medical bed, and for once she looked in peace. Minho was the first one to break down crying seeing her. He lost his friend Ben, but Rose was completely different. She worked her way into the hearts of every one of them. Then for her to be taken away so suddenly, it got to every single one of them.

Chuck was one of the worst though. He couldn't get over the fact that she was dead, because of him..

It wasn't until the Greenie Thomas came in that everything changed. At first he was silent looking at her body. Newt remained still. "She didn't deserve this..." He mumbled.

"Clearly. But what does it matter to you?" Newt was a little short towards him.

"Look, I know you don't like me. But there is a reason for it right?" He questioned. Newt just remained quiet. "I know she told you. We could talk to each other, the voices. And I know you don't like that I knew her before this."

"So what?" Newt stood up. "Your just pointing out facts Thomas. Why does any of this matter?"

"Because that same voice that talked to her is talking to me now. "

"Oh yeah?" Newt questioned in disbelief. "And what is that voice saying?"

Thomas was hesitant looking to Newt. He wanted them to be friends, and Newt was a good guy. He was just hurting, along with everyone else. Letting out a breath to calm down the situation Thomas sighed. "That we can bring her back."

Newt was caught off guard, his stern glare softening. "Yeah? How?" There was no way he believed him. Rose was gone... She was dead.

Thomas looked at his feet. "The chute. It'll be up tomorrow morning."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because." He huffed. "It just will be. Trust me." Immediately his words reminded Newt of Rose. Trust...

Letting out a frustrated breath Newt nodded. Have a little faith. "Okay..."

Have a little faith in him, have a little faith in her.

Standing before the chute Newt held her lifeless body in his arms. The wind gently caused her dangling hand to sway back and forth. Both Galley and Thomas pulled open the doors to the chute.

Once it was open Newt handed off Rosanne to Galley and jumped down into the chute himself. As soon as he was balanced he reached up for her. She was placed softly into his arms, and as gentle as he could he layed her against the metal.

Newt's heart shattered staring down at her lifeless pale skin. The tattoos seemed even darker and pronounced than before. "Please work." He whispered leaning down and kissing her forehead one last time. Then, grabbing the string from around her neck Newt pulled the wooden bow from her body. If she was going to WICKED, they weren't taking it away from her. If this worked, he would see her again. He swore by it.

Brushing the hair from her face Newt turned and climbed out of the chute. Galley and Thomas closed the doors behind him. As soon as they did so, the chute began to descend. "If this works..." Newt trailed off to Thomas. "I will owe you more than you could ever possibly know."

With that, Newt turned walking away from the now empty chute. Thomas remained alone staring down at the metal. "Come on Theresa... They're counting on this, we all are."
