Rue.

My dream consisted of many different things. I dreamt that I was getting getting married to Cato then Alex came and killed him. Then the dream shifted and Rue was dead and she was in my arms. She told me.. that I had to win for her and she told me that she loved me.

When I woke up, I looked below to check if Rue was there.

She wasn't.

But her sleeping bag was.

Probably hunting for our breakfast.

I got out of my sleeping bag and took my canteen to fill up with my iodine, for purifying.

I was on my way to the direction of the pond when I saw something stirring underneath my feet.

I gasped.

It was Rue!

I look at her and scoop her head up to my legs, as I kneeled down.

"R-rue?"

She looked at me and smiled as best as she could, with blood trailing down from her eyebrow all the way to her neck and next to her head was a puddle of blood. I gasped and wanted to close my eyes and run away from this scene as best as I could.

"I-I tried to get our breakfast. Then I- I fell into a trap. A n-net. I was a-about to call out for y-you u-until I-" she stuttered, trying to the get the words out of her mouth. She looked so badly wounded.

"Shhhh" I said to her softly.

She took a shaky breath.

"Y-you have to win." She whispered.

Slowly, tears started to flow out of her eyes.

I let my tears that i've been holding back, flow to her face too and nodded. It wiped off some of the blood that was drying to her skin.

"Can you sing me a song?" She whispered to me.

I stopped thinking about everything and sang. I sang her the song I knew most, which was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, how I wonder what you are, Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky, Twinkle Twinkle, LIttle star. How I wonder what you are."

"I love you Katniss" Rue whispered so faintly that it blended with the rustle of wind and then fluttered her eyes shut.

I gulped and shuddered.

By now, my tears were flowly freely, like a river, or a stream.

I didn't care how loud I was, because Rue was like the only real friend I had in this story.

Story.. story.. story. I reminded myself that this wasn't real and took a deep breath.

But she told me that she loved me.

Not a lot of people say that and mean it. But I can tell Rue meant it.

I cried a bit more and noticed the patch of beautiful flowers nearby.

I wiped my tears away and plucked a lot of flowers, one at a time and embellished her.

I created a garland of beautiful wildflowers.

Then I made a necklace.

And a bracelet. for each wrist

And a ring, for each finger

And an anklet. for each angles

I wish I could take a picture of this.

But pretty soon, the hovercraft will have to come.. I thought
