She's back

Chapter 10

Cassie's POV

We make it back to the prison about an hour later. We unpack everything,

as I walk to Hershel's cell. I walk in as he binds up Shadow's leg,"There ya are." he says. "Good as new." I smile at him,"Thank you,Hershel." I say as I carry Shadow up to mine and Carl's cell. I make him a pallet in the floor, as he falls, asleep. I giggle, I'm so glad we found him. He's such a good guard dog. If there's walkers around, all he does is growl, and leads you in the opposite direction. I turn around, and find Carl standing behind me,"You got a nice dog." he says. "Thanks." I say, standing up and hugging him. He wraps his arm around my waist, and rests his chin on my head. "Whoa! Looks like some kids need some alone time." Daryl says from the doorway. I turn around embarrassed. "Hey, there's my favorite redneck!" I say. He laughs,"Don't judge." We all walk downstairs, as Carl leads me to the field. He takes his hat off, and places it on my head,"Close your eyes." he says. I giggle, and cover my eyes with my hands, and wait. After a few minutes, he removes my hands from my eyes, and holds out a small bouquet of wildflowers. "Oh Carl. There beautiful." I say. "That's good, something beautiful for my beautiful girl." he says, handing me the flowers. He takes a tiger lily from the bouquet, and places it behind my ear. I lay the small bouquet beside me, and kiss him full on the lips. When we pull away, we're both on the ground lying there. I lay my head on his chest, and trace the lines on his plaid shirt. After a few minutes, we stand up, as e picks me up and spins me around,"Whoa! Carl!" I squeal while laughing. He finally stops, as we fall to the ground once more. We both stand up again, as he embraces me. I pick up my bouquet of wildflowers, as we walk inside. I run up to our cell, and set the bouquet on a table. When I walk back downstairs, I give Carl his hat back, when Judith starts crying,"Oh lord." Beth says, carrying Judith. She walks her back to her crib as I walk in,"Beth? Do you need some help?" I ask. She smiles,"That would be great Cassie, thank you." she says as she walks out. I pick up Judith, and cradle her in my arms, singing you You Are My Sunshine.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away." she stops crying, as rock her in my arms. Carl comes up behind me, and wraps his arms around my waist, as we away from side to side.

Carl's POV

Cassie puts Judith in her crib, and covers her up. She turns around to face me, as I kiss her. We pull away, as she rests her head on my chest.

We walk out out of the cell, as we see everyone crowded around in a circle. That's when I see her. Andrea.
