Chapter 4
Justin
"So, what are we going to do with those losers?" Caleb asked as he stared up at the ceiling.
We were in my room, which was pretty spacious if you ask me. It had its own bathroom, and then the actual bedroom, and then another room that serves as an office. The five of us like to hang out here whenever we're not busy, just because we don't anything better to do. I'll just hang around here while the four of them search my room, looking for something interesting to do.
"I don't even want to talk about that right now," I groaned as a headache kicked in just thinking about that Pheonix girl. She knows exactly what buttons to push to get me mad, and she doesn't even know me. I would give her props if she wasn't so freaking annoying.
Nick chuckled dryly. "Well, we need to start thinking about that, at the very least. I mean, we can't just keep them here forever."
"Oh, I would commit suicide if I have to last another day with that bitch," I groaned as I stared at all of them. "She drvies me crazy. If it wasn't for Riley, I would have just shot each of them in the head and called it a day, but no, he has to go play hero and save them."
"Trust me, we know," Moose pointed out, and then he looked around with an eyebrow raised. "Where is Riley?"
Right on cue, the door to my room opened and Riley walked in with his hands in his pockets. "DId I miss anything?" He asked as he closed the door shut behind him.
Caleb shook his head. "No, but where have you been?"
Riley shrugged and took a seat on one of the sofas that I have set up in my room. "I was helping that Pheonix girl."
My eyes widened. "You were helping her?"
He nodded. "Yeah, she was a little disoriented, so I helped her out."
Moose ran a hand through his hair. "Why the hell would you do that?"
"I feel bad for her, and for the other two. By the looks of it, I don't think that they have a dad, and we just killed their mom. Pheonix has to take care of her brother and sister by herself and then try to deal with herself too. We kidnapped them and they're scared to death because they know that we're capable of anything." Riley explained.
"So, what?" I sat up straighter. "She's a bitch and I hate her."
Riley rolled his eyes. "Okay, and what about the other two?"
"The boy is annoying and the girl is just wait too quiet, but she looks a little nosy."
"You just hate them because they're related to her, don't you?" Nick narrowed his eyes.
I nodded. "Basically."
Caleb took another hit of pot. "Alright, man. I'm going to bed. I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be a long day." Caleb walked out of the room after that.
"I am too. I'm so tired that I feel I could pass out at any second." Moose ran a hand through his hair again and walked out with Nick following him.
Riley stood up and turned to fully face me. "You should talk to her, you know? Try to calm her down or at the very least calm down that little boy. He's hyperventilating." Riley suggested. I looked at him as if he was a psychopath, causing him to roll his eyes. "Come on, Justin."
I sighed. "Ugh, fine. But if she says any stupid shit, i will kill her." I promised as I stood up and walked out, leaving him behind in my room.
After making a right, I ran down the stairs to the basement, where they were going to be kept. I burst through the door and found all three of them huddled in a corner. The little boy was unconscious but still sobbing. The girl had her eyes closed and her head was resting on Pheonix's shoulder. Pheonix was awake and just staring off into space, tears falling down her face. I slammed the door closed, causing her to look at me and softly groan in annoyance.
"I don't like you either," I hissed as I walked towards her. "In fact, I would just like if it you left, but we can't do that, so I'm stuck dealing with you."
"Whatever," She mumbled, staring down at the floor.
I gritted my teeth together. I hate it when someone says that word to me, acting as if they're better than me or something like that. Okay, so that's strike one. I decided to restart it a couple minutes ago to try and make peace, but if she wasn't going to cooperate, neither was I.
"Look, I'm tired of your shitty attitude, so get your ass together before I have to do it for you." I warned.
"Oh, my goodness, can't you just leave me alone?!" She exclaimed.
Shutting my eyes closed, I pinched the bridge of my nose and gave out a soft sigh. I opened my eyes and found her wiping away more tears. "Look, I don't know how long ago you took a shower, but I know how prissy and neat girls have to be, so you're probably not that sweaty. If you want to take a shower or clean yourself, we have a sink in that bathroom right there," I appointed to the door in the basement that led to the bathroom.
"And what am I going to wear if I do that?" She crossed her arms over her chest, raising an eyebrow.
The light bulb in my head lit up out of nowhere. My fingers traveled to my shirt and I began unbuttoning it quickly. Pheonix's eyes widened. "What in the world are you doing?!" She shielded her eyes once I reached the last button.
"You wanted something to wear, didn't you?" I snickered.
"But I didn't mean your shirt!" She used one hand to make gestures as she kept one on her brown eyes, keeping her from looking at my body, which would probably make her faint if she did.
"Well, at least I'm being a gentleman," I left my shirt hanging on my body like that. Unbuttoned but still resting on my shoulders.
She removed her hand, rolled her eyes, but kept her stare on my face. "A little late for that," She spat.
I balled my hands into fists and bit down onto the inside of my cheek. "Whatever, stay like that, then." I walked away from her and reached the first step. Then, I turned my head a bit to look at her. "Sweet dreams, babe." I fake smiled before walking away from her.
Once I slammed the door closed, I heard her groan in anger. Okay, I was enjoying this way too much.
