Chapter 8
Justin
Kyle just basically ruined my whole damn day. We've been rivals for a long time, and seeing him today just brought back that hatred that I still have towards him. Besides, he doesn't have to be looking at Pheonix like that. I'm not saying that I like her, because I don't, but I hate the way that he looks at women as if they were some sort of toy for his own pleasure. It's disrespectful, and I know that no matter how feisty Pheonix is, but I don't think that she'll be able to take him down.
It seemed like she had dropped the subject, because her and Deseray were just acting like normal teenage girls shopping. Evan and Cassidy were walking behind them, and Nick and I were walking behind them. But I noticed that he was too busy staring at Deseray's ass to be paying attention to anything else.
"Wait, why are you even here?" I asked, suddenly remembering how he just randomly walked into the mall.
"I'm supposed to be meeting Paige here," He said, not taking his eyes off Pheonix's friend.
I chuckled and we just continued to walk around. Pheonix burst out laughing hysterically at something that Deseray said, and I mocked her laughter loudly. Nick tried not to laugh and she spun around, glaring at me. I did the same thing, glaring at her back. She turned back around, facing forward.
"Ooh, Pheonix, let's go here!" Deseray squealed as they stopped in front of Forever 21.
"Ooh, Pheonix, let's go here!" I repeated what Deseray said, trying to annoy her. She rolled her eyes and pulled Pheonix into the store. Nick and I sighed, stared at Evan and Cassidy, who walked into the store, following them.
Nick looked at me and then took out his phone, reading a text that he got. "Okay, Paige is here, but I'll make sure to meet up with you guys again." We did our bro-hug and he walked down the hallway, leaving me no other choice but to go into the store with Pheonix and the other three.
The girls didn't take long. They just bought two or three shorts and about four pairs of jeans. Pheonix made me pay for her, and I wasn't going to object since it was my idea to take her shopping. Evan and Cassidy just stood around, looking around. Pheonix grabbed her shopping bag from my hand and crouched down to talk to Evan and Cassidy.
"Alright, now it's time to go shopping for you guys." She smiled. They nodded and I saw Evan flash her little grin.
"In what store?" I asked as Deseray grabbed Evan's hand and Pheonix grabbed Cassidy's hand.
Pheonix glanced at me before looking down the hallway. "Children's Place," She cocked her head, leading the way. We followed her, and I found myself looking at her ass. Again.
Pheonix bought them a couple outfits. Actually, a couple is a little compared to how much she bought. That was enough clothes for three months. I feel so bad for my credit card. I grabbed that bag since it was the heaviest. Then, her and Deseray led the way. I mocked the way they walked, causing Cassidy to laugh slightly. I would have shot her a look, but I actually found myself smiling. For some reason, I like making people laugh.
Then, we passed by Victoria's Secret. I stopped and whistled softly, causing for Pheonix and Deseray to turn around. I pointed to the store with a teasing smile on my face.
"How about we go in here?" I suggested.
Pheonix raised an eyebrow, folding her arms across her chest. I think that's like a reflex of hers or something, because she's always doing it.
"How about we don't." She contradicted me.
"Oh, but wait, who's the one paying for your shopping spree? Oh, that's right: me. And I suggest that we go in that store. Because, you can't use the same underwear every day." I pointed out.
