#8 I Do

Its been a year, and Wally was still in a coma. The doctor was about to pull the plug as Dick walked in.

"Please sir, one more day," Dick begged, tears starting to leak from his eyes.

The doctor agreed, and left the room. Dick sat at the bedside table and took Wally's cold, lifeless hand in his.

Dick was there for almost an hour when Roy walked in, holding a bag in his hands.

"You might want to open this," Roy said before walking out the room.

Dick looked inside and pulled out a build a bear dressed as how Wally normally dressed. He squeezed the bear and Wally's voice came from the bear.

"Will you marry me?" asked the bear.

Dick choked back a soft sob. "I do."

He looked inside the bag and found a small box. Inside the box was a silver engagement ring, carved into the ring was four words Dick wanted to hear from Wally. 'I'll love you forever' Tears streamed down Dick's cheeks as he felt someone wrap their arms around him.

"Why are you crying?" Came Wally's weak voice.
