Warnings: rape mention

Enjoy!

Dan's POV:

I lay in bed that night and all I could think about was tomorrow. I was staying at Phil's house. I was maybe even sleeping in his bed. I was so happy, but I was also afraid. Phil had asked me to stay the night. We'd kissed and we'd flirted and I guess he was my boyfriend now. Would he expect me to have sex with him? No, Phil wasn't like that. But then again I thought Jake wasn't and look what happened there. I decided to trust Phil. I'm not sure when, but at some point in the night I managed to find sleep.

"I know you want it"

"No stop it Jake"

"You're a dirty little slut"

I woke up sweating and panting. It was the first rape nightmare I'd had in a while, but it has happened before. When I looked at the clock it was 5:18 a.m. I tried to calm down and go back to sleep but I was still panicked from the nightmare. After an hour I decided to just stop trying and get up. I got in the shower, letting the water run for a while before I stood under it. I slowly submerged myself in the water, trying to wash away the pain and fear. I tried to focus on the good things, on Phil. It was time to move on and forget Jake. Once I was showered and dressed I packed my bag for Phil's house later. The thought of Phil cheered me up, I was determined not to let Jake ruin this day.

Phil's POV:

When my alarm went off at 7:30 a.m. my first thought went to Dan. Although I couldn't wait for him to stay the night I was worried because I had no idea what to do. I'd never had a friend stay at my house before. I'd never had to try hard to impress Dan before, but I also didn't want him to think I was really lame.

Dan and I had arranged to walk to school together again today. And sure enough at 8:20 I saw him come round the corner and walk towards me. "Hey Phil," he said with a smile. "It's it okay if I-Um leave this bag here?" He gestured with one hand at the black overnight bag he was carrying. "Sure, just put it inside." I opened the door to let him in and a minute later we left for school.

Dan's POV:

The day seemed to drag on so much. My old school seemed to last a very long time but since I moved and met Phil, the two days I have been here have gone by so quickly. But I only have one lesson with Phil today, we have single history after break, the very lesson we met in.

I was in German before break, five minutes before the end of the lesson which had already seemed to last an eternity. Phil was in a French lesson with Louise and Chris just along the corridor and they had arranged to meet me outside the classroom. Three minutes later I saw them standing outside and Phil waved at me through the window. I smiled, giving him a small wave back.

"Daniel, the lesson has not finished yet," my teacher shouted at me. "Your friends can wait, please remain focused on me." I heard a giggle from Phil outside.

When I finally got out I slapped him playfully on the arm. "You got me into trouble," I said, pouting. We all laughed as my German teacher gave me a suspicious look walking out the door. We headed down to our usual place, joking and laughing as we went.

Phil's POV:

In maths all I was thinking about was after this lesson, when we got to go home. I had doodled wall ideas all over my maths book. Double maths last thing on a Friday always dragged on, but today it felt as though I had been in this seat my whole life. I was trying to concentrate on the work I had been set, but my thoughts just kept wandering to Dan. I hoped that he was feeling the same way about me, but he probably wasn't. I was much more inexperienced than him with relationships and even with friendships.

I looked up in surprise and realised that the day was almost over. This thought sent a flutter of nerves and excitement into my stomach. I heard the class next door leave the room, that was Dan's class. A moment later he appeared outside the door.

He smiled at me as I walked out and joined him. "Ready to go?" he asked. I smiled back and trying to calm myself with a joke, I simply replied "Nice Panic! at the disco reference." He laughed and gave me an adorable little smile and all my nerves faded away. I was happy that I had finally found a best friend as well as a boyfriend.

Cute right?
